Posted by iRub1Out , in Windows Phone, US Cellular News and Rumors, Android News 16 October 2012 · 17,111 views

It's always an excitement when we see new devices appear in USC's lineup.

The latest information brings NO disappointments, and a few raised eyebrows!

10/26 - Electrify M info added.
11/1 - Electrify M goes live on uscc.com - info/pic updated.

First up is what seems to be an entry level device - pure and simple:

  • 3.5" screen
  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread

On deck - A WP8 device already making a name for itself in the world of Smartphones:

HTC Windows Phone 8S

Specs:
  • Qualcomm® S4 1 GHz, Dual-core
  • Total storage: 4 GB, available capacity varies

Next is the little known device:

Samsung Galaxy S Axiom

Specs:
  • Display: 4" AMOLED
  • CPU: 1.5 GHz dual-core (probably the Qualcomm S4)
  • 4G LTE
  • Camera: 5 MP rear, and ?? front
This one was most likely the Infinite that appeared on the Rebate forms, and be mid-level priced $99.

Link to FCC approval - this may/may not be it: Here

-I will update info for this device as it becomes available.

Now, we all know about this one, but it needs mentioning:

Galaxy Note 2

  • 5.5" screen
  • 1.6 MHz Quad Core
  • 4G LTE

Finally, the one I've been waiting to drop the bombshell on...

Motorola Electrify M

New info: Price is said to be $99 after MIR. This IS identical to Verizon's Razr M according to our source.
- I can only imagine that this is the sister device to the Droid Razr M - The 4G Moto hybrid USC style.*
*Confirmed
  • 4g LTE,
  • 4.3 AMOLED screen,
  • dual core 1.5 ghz processor,
  • 8 MP 1080p camera.
  • Price confirmed to be $200
Lastly... Perhaps even better...
Every one of these devices are scheduled to launch ON or BEFORE November 11th 2012!
So, keep checking back - I will update the moment new info arrives!

It looks like the 11th deadline has come and gone - No WP8 or Axiom. IDK why, but USC has fallen behind.

^^^^I agree with that, however if this phone is coming,I have to think there might be an Electrify HD coming early next year.I will hold out for the bigger 4.7" screen.
Never another Moto for me unless they do something drastic and make my Electrify right and unlock the bootloader. Moto will flat out lie to you and track your every move. They said USCC won;t let them unlock the bootloader by the way...
I really want the Nokia 920.
The 8X is a good windows phone, the 8S is midrange, poor choice, if your going to do windows do it right with the 8X or the Nokia 920

Now for the $100 question - will Moto honor the credit for us Electrify owners who aren't getting jelly bean?

I wonder the same question.

The model# is HTC Windows Phone 8S MWP6888US and the HTC Pro 7 actually had better specs on US Cellular than it did on the HTC website (example 16GB memory with 8GB listed as the memory on the site), so it was kind of a special build. Lets hope they do that with the 8S, or provide us with a better WP8 option
Anybody think the Moto might have the 4.7 inch screen that Verizon's newest Motos (RAZR HD, MAXX HD) will have?

Very disappointed if this is true of only the HTC 8S. http://www.phonearen...Phone-8S_id7222
I'm fine with offering that phone 'IF' you're also going to offer a flagship WP8 Device as well like the HTC 8X.
I'm probably dreaming but I still hope the Nokia Lumia 920 is only exclusive for a short time with at&t and then finds its way to USCC or vzw.
Veriozon is already getting a version of the Nokia 920 which is arguably nicer than the AT&T one. So there is hope if USCC want to provide top end phones in a Windows version.

I have heard of all of these coming in, so very accurate.

Any idea on the screen size of the Motorola?

I found this in a Google search. When you enlarge the pic of the Motorola above, you can see "Telstra" in the upper left hand corner. Looks like this is the RAZR M that Telstra is getting next month.
I am looking forward to the Moto M, I am up for an upgrade form my Electrify. I was thinking about the SGIII, but will stick with a Moto. Here are some comparisons I found: http://www.phonearen...hones/7391,7346

Thanks for that comparison mandoman.

Let's talk pricing. The Razr M at Verizon is $99 ($50 at Wirefly right now). With the SGIII at $199, I'm guessing this comes in at $149, maybe $129. Hopefully they go with instant rebates.
I keep hoping for a Nexus to come to U.S. Cellular.
