blog-0220402001386375809.jpgWell, just a few weeks after Thanksgiving it appears we've received the Christmas pricing from an anonymous tipster! For all of you disappointed that the Moto X was not in Thanksgiving special, fret no more! That and quite a few other devices will be free. Let's take a look:

Free (New/Upgrade/Add a Line)

$99 (New/Upgrade/Add a Line)

$.01 with Points

Moto X (6800)

Motorola Electrify M (6800)

Samsung ATIV Odyssey (6800)

Samsung Galaxy Mega (7500)

Samsung Galaxy S4 (7500)

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini (6800)

That pretty much covers the major devices. Sadly, no deals on the Samsung Galaxy Note III. Attached is the full document as well in case there's a device I missed that you'd be interested in. Anyone looking to take advantage of this sale? I know my family will be getting 2 Moto X's. Let's hear your choices below!

***Beginning December 12th, all customers currently on a Rewards eligible plan will receive 5000 Rewards points per account. Additionally, beginning Friday, December 13th, the Samsung Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5C (16GB) all colors will be lowered to 5000 Reward points.***

I said it before when people saw the Black holiday specials...for whatever reason, USCC hasn't had that good of deals after thanksgiving for the last 3 years. Rather, they seem to focus more on promotions leading up to X-mas.

I'm confused on the "$.01 with Points"?  Is the Moto X 6800 points at anytime, (I have an old belief plan) or only when you're due for an upgrade?

All these prices including the points sale are only good if you are eligible to upgrade. Same with every other contract provider except USCC let's you upgrade sooner than most.

I need to stress the fact that the Moto X will be difficult to find in stores for the duration of the sale. It's been back ordered since it came out in September.

So, what do you do to ensure you get one?

Get to know the people at your agent store. Mine are great, they have one on hold for me. ;)

So, my wife shattered the screen on her S4. Could I add a line and then after it's all been setup turn around and switch the shattered one to the new line and the new phone to her old line? I would think that should be easy...

Reason I ask here is I want to get her the $99 new line/S4 deal.

OK, I'm officially confused by this. Does this mean you can use these 5000 reward points to buy the phones instead of the $99, or whether you can accelerate an upgrade by using 5000 points regardless of whether you're eligible?

You have to be eligible for an upgrade to purchase with 5000 points. If you are not eligible for an upgrade, you can use 4000 of those points to push upgrade up 4 months max. Then if you don't have enough points, you would have to purchase at normal price. But 1000 points = $5, so you could lower price with remaining points you have.

Well, I hope my points are actually worth something next June, when I will be able to accelerate an upgrade on 2 lines. By then, I'll be able to get the Galaxy S 5-1/2!

Is it possible to use a combination of Belief Points, plus buy out a couple of months of the contract to get to an early upgrade? In other words, if I can upgrade early in April, can I buy out 4 months to get my upgrade-with-points date to December?

According to US Cell website, the X has to be part of the Holiday Bundle crap. Is that true? Or is it just a penny for the upgrade?

I believe there is an error on that, holiday bundle banner shouldn't be there. If you click on the i next to $.01 price , there are no rebate amounts listed like the other holiday bundle phones, just the $699.98 discount for signing 2 year contract.

FWIW, we just upgraded to 2 X's today for $0.... no pennies even.  Waived activation for 7,000 points each and spent nothing today.  However, I'm really unsure if they took 6,800 per X to upgrade as well.  Here's why - if they had, 6,800 X 2 = 13,600.  Activation waived - 7,000 X 2 = 14,000.  13,600 + 14,000 = 27,600 points.  We only had 25,100 total.  So, did I just get off lucky or am I missing something OR will they catch this and charge us later?

You shouldn't have had to use points to waive activation. When you purchase a phone with points , activation is included.
I picked an X up for my wife today and store employee confirmed this. Should have just been 6800 x 2= 13.600. .The other 14,000 you should still have.

That is what they guy at my store wanted to do. He said "why would you burn points when phone is free?" I told him it would then cost 7000 points to waive activation, for 6800 I can get the phone and activation. He said, "oh yeah, you have it figured out". lol

You could probably get your 400 points back, but it probably wouldn't be worth the hassle.
