  1. V Kernel by djvoleur

The other 5.1.1 925r4 kernel is working but I get no signal bars despite having service. Supersu and twrp appear to be working as well. I was hoping this would eliminate the no signal bar bug. That's weird I'm running this kernel on my 925r4 and haven't experienced that issue. Are you sure it's the kernel that's causing it. As for the normal s6 I also don't have the device so I'm not sure if that kernel works. For those of you who experiencing issues I would contact djvoleur over on xda.
  2. @djvoleur from xda built a custom kernel for the uscellular s6 and s6 edge. At the moment it's basically unikernel ported to usc. You can download it here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=35823

  4. Root for 5.1.1

Both kernels were built from the uscellular variant's source. Being that the sprint version is so similar it may work on the sprint variant as well, although some people are saying that data doesn't work with those images on sprint. He's tried flashing the stock image through odin and it's still upside down, which makes no sense at all.
  5. Actual Root for 5.1.1

    Here's one of them http://teamuscellular.com/Forum/topic/8444-root-for-511/
  6. Root for 5.1.1

All credit goes to @djvoleur This is for both US Cellular Samsung S6 and S6 Edge variant. Thanks also goes to @g.lewarne for his work on Unikernel as a couple of their ramdisk/kernel commits were needed to get this going. Also, thanks to @datajosh for this template And @bpdev for testing the 925R4 version... This will trip KNOX. It will. Trip. KNOX. IF YOU HAVE NOT TRIPPED KNOX YET - THIS WILL TRIP IT. ALSO - you CANNOT downgrade after you take the OTA so be sure you want it. I hope that's clear enough? Instructions: After you've booted into OF7, go to Settings > About device and tap Build number 7 times to enable Developer Mode.Go back and select Developer options and turn on OEM unlockingReboot in to download mode (Power + Home + Volume Down)Use ODIN to flash 925R4root.tar or 920R4root.tar (depending on your device)After your phone boots you will now have root!If you notice constant messages about security issues because of KNOX and the kernel being permissive. To get rid of these, open Titanium Backup (or your personal favorite app freezing app) and freeze SecurityLogAgent. 7. Actual Root for 5.1.1

The developer who helped me out with this requested that I direct people to his thread... Also your copy of the op doesn't have the normal s6 test kernel in it that was added. Edit: I've updated the op

  9. 5.1.1 For the S6

Might have a root method, atleast for the edge, later tonight or tomorrow.
  10. Roaming Indicator Off

Had you flashed the zip I posted?
  11. Roaming Indicator Off

It shows up when you have priority notifications set or have downtime enabled.
  12. Roaming Indicator Off

After flashing that zip or before?
  13. Roaming Indicator Off

This should fix the issue once and for all. I haven't had time to test it though, so make a nandroid before you test it. I'm 99% sure it will work fine though. (I had the same issue when porting lollipop to the 2014 moto x) http://bit.ly/1AntlqC Let me know if it works.
  14. Awesome! That first nandroid I posted was missing the data partition, which I wouldn't have thought was important, but that's basicaly the only difference so I'll see If I can get one with it.I couldn't get data to work even with your file Did you do a factory reset after flashing that zip?
