  1. Moto X4 compatible with U.S. Cellular

I have a fi SIM and it seems to favor TMobile and Sprint over us cellular at my place even though TMobile and Sprint are roaming at my home. I can force switch to us cell for a bit but it will eventually switch back to TMobile or Sprint. That's probably why you only saw 2g service. (I live in northern Maine btw) Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  2. OnePlus 5T or Razer Compatible?

The 5t supports BC0 (800mhz) CDMA band but not BC1 (1900mhz). It may work but you would be lacking voice service in some areas. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  3. Hardware Problems Worth Fixing?

I would steer clear of the 6p's and 5x's... they are known for bootloops and battery issues. Mine is doing ok, but it does have the early shutdown issue if it gets cold. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

  5. If ringtones are not showing up after copying them to their appropriate folders,. Go in app manager and force close "media manager" system app. When you go back to choose your ringtones it will cause the manager to rescan for new media. If MMS isn't working there is usually a way to change the settings in the MMS app to switch from legacy to system or vice versa (I know Textra has this option). I prefer chrome syncing all my stuff across devices.. that way I don't have to worry about bookmarks and site passwords across devices. I can easily do everything on my phone and seemlessly go to my laptop and get the same bookmarks and history. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  6. Received SMS messages split up

Depends on the phone Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  7. I'm not worried about the screen... It's the price that I'm worried about. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  8. Received SMS messages split up

Only way is to have the sender use MMS instead... Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  9. Moto X4 compatible with U.S. Cellular

  10. Anyone going for it? I am reluctant to pull the trigger... It's a big investment and I don't know how well it will do in the boonies... Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  11. yes, the regular sim slot. only carrier that uses the esim is FI. That was only for the original pixel/xl with 7.1.0 sold by verizon. If it was ever updated to 7.1.1 then the bootloader could not be unlocked. the Google play store version can always be unlocked regardless.... In other words... just by it directly from google, better warranty/rma from them also, especially with the whole 6p/5x fiasco.
  12. The nice thing about the pixel 2 is the esim for fi can be used along with another SIM from a different carrier and you can switch between them on the fly without swapping Sims. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  13. No,. The pixel phones are not carrier locked. They can be used on any carrier. You can freely switch at any time. Bootloader locking just means they can't be rooted or use custom roms. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  14. Only the original pixels if they were not updated to 7.1.1 could be unlocked as long as they were not activated. The Google store units were not affected. Once unlocked they stayed unlocked until you relocked them and then they lost the option to be unlocked again. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  15. Doesn't work... Have to unlock bootloader to flash firmware Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  16. The original pixel could be unlocked with the original firmware (7.1.0 I believe) prior to activation on Verizon's Network. After you insert the SIM card it automatically disabled the OEM unlock option permanently and you could not be unlocked after. Updating to 7.1.1 disabled it also. No workaround known currently. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  17. All Verizon sold pixels, 1&2 have locked boot loaders that cannot be unlocked. The Google store variants come with locked bootloader but can be unlocked. The apps are indeed installed when activated on verizon and can be uninstalled. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  18. Pixel 2?

Original XLS are all that's left for new and only $100 off Pixel 2 has a better camera and also begins with 64gb instead of 32. Also has a better processor and Bluetooth 5.0. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  19. OnePlus 5?

Nope Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  20. OnePlus 5?

It may work,. You probably would have to lie and say it's a Nexus device and do it over the phone, not in store of course... Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  21. OnePlus 5?

They won't allow it. It doesn't support CDMA,. So no voice... Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
