  1. Trying upload pics but failing each time, added a link to pics instead (with username). And good call on Black Mist, a copy-paste oops from the S3 I sold back when I got the S4.
  2. US Cellular Samsung Galaxy S4 (16GB, Black Mist) in great condition; it has no scratches on the screen itself whatsoever. Bought in May 2013, original owner. Comes with all the original packaging, LTE sim card, and charger. Local deal preferred (Madison, WI area). The ESN/DEC number is clear. I am willing to meet buyer at a US Cellular store to get it activated on the spot. It is currently rooted, running CyanogenMod 10.2 (aftermarket version of Android). I am willing to unroot the device and install the Samsung/US Cellular factory version of Android (TouchWiz), if the buyer prefers. $275 or best offer.
  3. Aggravating

Yeah, I've never been able to restore a nandroid backup of MJA. Always get the force closes until I i wipe dalvik and do a factory reset, so always have to reinstall all my apps from scratch. I've been just sticking with CM-10.2 nightlies, they've been working great. Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
  4. At which step are you gaining root? Don't you need to Odin CF Auto-root prior to running CWM? Or are the firmware .tar files pre-rooted? Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
  5. 4g data VERY slow

Yes, slower than usual in Madison Wisconsin Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk

  7. Did you apply any of the "Bloat" zips? BasicDreams.apk was removed from the file in the OP. To get it back you could run the "Heavily Bloated" zip from the OP, or modify it to only contain BasicDreams.apk. I just reverted back to USCC's MF5 and it was there. I extracted the apk if you want to try installing it that way too. https://db.tt/ppTsRblv
  8. Google+ Community

Not to steal any traffic from this great community that I love, but a fella has created a Google+ community called "Rooted Samsungs" that has some pretty knowledgeable folks, some devs, and a laid back, no-flame attitude. I encourage you all to join as a nice complement to TeamUSCC. https://plus.google.com/communities/108192586320506828797 I know he posted this in the TeamUSCC Google+ community too but I didn't see it posted anywhere here. I apologize if it has been.
  9. [SUPPORT] CyanogenMod 10.2

Looks like a new topic is needed but...anyone try the CM 10.2 nightly (JB 4.3) that greeted me when I woke this morning? I ran it for a few hours today and was pretty smooth, but no photosphere in the camera app. There's a new 4.3 version of gapps to go with it. Just wish I didn't love the TW camera so much or I'd run AOSP as my dd. TW camera seems to take much better low-light pictures, and that's when all the fun happens lol.
  10. The only difference between the VZW and SPR variants is that the VZW doesn't include the apns.xml (Dubbsy's VZW rom has the needed USCC configs which is why it's not needed, but doesn't hurt to have it anyways). That said, you'd be just fine using the sprint one on any rom. In any case, they both have outdated kernels so you'll want to flash the latest kernel version for whichever you choose. I borrowered Na7's work to create my own converter that does only the conversion (apns.xml and eri.xml) without a kernel flash. It also has a slimmed apns.xml with only USCC configs (Dubbsy's has configs for all the major carriers + USCC): https://copy.com/82VYn0uDQas8 It comes in handy when flashing a sprint rom if you just want to keep the kernel bundled with the rom. I've also noticed that some of the kernel zips don't always wipe libs that may be left over from previous kernels. I have a tool to run before flashing a new kernel: https://copy.com/TPm1l4HJL0gI
