  1. 4G Expansion Info?

  2. I was just talking to a rep about my bill because I had 100 minutes of overage. She researched my bill and believes it to be in error. However, she said that the research department would look into it deeper and if I was in fact, over I could use my belief points until July 12. She told me that the Belief Points cannot be used for overages starting July 12. US Cellular is starting to fall in line with all the big boys now and nickle and dime us to death. Anyone else hear this or was she blowing smoke? Scott
  3. Guys and Gals, On the heels of the new unlocking method Dan Rosenburg released, a new root method has been found. I tried it on my Electrify Razr M and it works!!! I have root with a locked bootloader. I saw the original post on androidcentral. Here is the site where the files are. Maybe the mod can get permission to host the files here as well. http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/15208-root-motochopper-yet-another-android-root-exploit/page__pid__244281#entry244281 Again, it is working for me. Scott
  4. JB Update - Experiences - Opinions

Just saw that on their FB page.
  5. JB Update - Experiences - Opinions

Did you enroll in the soak program and fill out the questionnaire?? If you have not and have not received an email saying your going to get the soak push I would stop trying to hit the update button and wait. This is NOT the official release. At least from what I am seeing and I am one of the soak registered testers... I am registered with MFN. Is that different than the soak test? I don't remember a questionaire I don't believe. They changed it all since my soak test with the Droid X
  6. According to Android Police, the JB Update for our Electrify M has started rolling out. http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/02/06/motorola-begins-jelly-bean-4-1-2-rollout-for-the-electrify-m-on-us-cellular/ I still haven't got it, but I guess it will go in waves.
  7. Unlocked bootloader talk

Well good news. Motorola announced that Electrify M headed to US Cellular will be able to have bootloader unlocked. Here is source: http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/11/07/motorola-adds-electrify-m-to-bootloader-unlock-program-no-developer-edition-required/
  8. Found an interesting article that US Cellular was awarded $34.5 million dollars to expand 3G service in underserved areas within 2 years or 4G within 3 years. Here is a link to the article. http://www.wirelessweek.com/News/2012/10/carriers-T-Mobile-US-Cellular-Among-Winners-of-FCC-Mobility-Fund/
  9. Motorola has released a bootloader unlock utility. However, some of the stuff is not working yet. Such as devices supported. Hopefully will be live before too long. Here is the link. https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-a
  10. Nandroid File

After I posted I thought about that, it was a DOH moment. I have them every now and then
  11. Nandroid File

If I recall correctly, a nandroid only copies the /data, /system and /cache partitions. The /boot and /recovery aren't touched. Don't think it will work.
  12. New Year Giveaway!

    Thanks for the opportunity!!!
  13. I actually thought of this the other day. Something to this effect was done with the Motorola DroidX when I was with Verizon. It still has a locked bootloader but using 2nd init.d or something like that allows custom roms as well as CWM to be installed on it. I am not savvy enough to do it though.
  14. Possible Virus????

Sorry forgot to update this thread. All is good now. I did have a virus on my computer and I think it was called Backdoor.TrojanGen or something like that. A lot of times I visited this site (not every time) , I would start getting popups for Windows 7 Antivirus application. It hijacked all my .exe files and completely disabled my antivirus/malware software. I would kill processes and delete files and finally get rid of it. A few days later and it is back again. Eventually, it made it when I would "clean" it, none of my .exe files would work and have to restore .exe file associations. Long story short, I reinstalled Windows completely and started anew. NOw my problem is gone. But the reason I posted this originally is because this was the only site that caused the activation of the virus/malware. No other site did. It had to be something in one of the ads that it didn't like or was the trigger. But we're good now and I visit daily with no forseen problems. Scott
