Chainfire has CF Auto Root for 6.0.1. I dont believe its systemless, so it looks like both ways are available to root. I havent tried auto root on 6.0.1 though.

Awesome, thank you, I appreciate it. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  3. RRO Layers Theme Thread

I remember using their stuff long ago. Ill check them out. So installing seems to work fine. I cant get anything to uninstall though. I go into Uninstall in the Layers Manager, select the checkboxes, then the delete button, it does its thing, asks to soft reboot, it tries but does not reboot anything. Ive rebooted the phone but the layers are still showing installed. Am I doing something incorrectly? Maybe because I am using systemless root?
  4. RRO Layers Theme Thread

I tried the Prime layer, didnt work very well, but I probably didnt do it right. I couldnt uninstall the two parts of it that were installed. I went with the Midnight layer and it seems to work so far. No FC's or bootloops. Yet.
  5. RRO Layers Theme Thread

Ok, thank you. It *should* work on 6.0.1 then. Ill give it a shot then. That message just worried me a little. I guess if it fails, I can re-flash and fix it.
  6. RRO Layers Theme Thread

Is anyone using layers on any of the latest updates? Every theme says it is incompatible with the version and can cause force closes and bootloops. Is that normal or should I wait for the layers to be updated? I have never tried them before so I am curious but I dont want to mess things up.

Ok, thank you. That's what I didn't do. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

What do you use to remove the system apps? I tried using the uninstall option in titanium backup but it didn't free any space. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  9. Nexus Security Releases

From what I read, the system is completely full on 6.0.1, so any mods fill it up to the point it wont boot. In order to modify system, space has to be made and then the mods will work and it will boot. Im trying this right now actually.
  10. Nexus Security Releases

I havent tried it yet, but they say if you clear up some space in system, that will fix the boot issue. Not sure how that affects OTA and Android Pay though.
  11. Nexus Security Releases

I did the same thing. Just dont do anything to modify the system, the phone wont boot. Chainfire is aware and I would assume working on a workaround. Even something as simple as changing the build.prop line for multiwindow will cause it to not boot. Lightflow must do something too, it worked great until I rebooted. Just an FYI.
  12. Nexus Security Releases

I had to do the same thing when I first updated. After I went into the settings and into the access points, did a restore to defaults and its been fine. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  13. MRA58K Released For Nexus 6!

The one thing I found. I tried lightflow and it worked great, until i restarted the phone. The phone hung on the first Google screen with the padlock at the bottom. I tried everything to get it to boot, I had to reflash the system.img and then it booted. I just tried changing the line in the build.prop to enable multi window. Everything worked until I tried to reboot. Hung up on the Google screen again. Had to reflash the system.img. I dont know enough to know if you cant mess with system at all if you use systemless root. Just wanted to get this out there in case anyone has the same issue. 14. MRA58K Released For Nexus 6!

Completely stock 6.0.1. Flashed twrp, booted into recovery, flashed supersu 2.61 zip, root is achieved. I verified it works on the nexus 7 too if anyone has one of those. Awesome.
  15. MRA58K Released For Nexus 6!

The post on the google plus page says its confirmed working on 6.0.1. When I get home tonight, Ill try it and see. EDIT: Specifically the 2.61 Supersu auto patch boot img file is said to be working.
