  1. I have up for grabs one Samsung Galaxy S2 with the following accessories: 1 OtterBox Commuter case 1 set of Samsung headphones 1 6' USB cable 1 HTC charging brick (sorry, lost the one from Samsung) 1 8GB Micro SD card 1 16GB Micro SD card See pictures attached. I can't see any cosmetic damage and the phone is in good operating condition. It currently is running stock software that can (and should) be upgraded to whatever the latest and greatest is. It has yellow triangle, which I understand can be removed. I'm asking $165 shipped for all of the above items.
  2. Too Good Of Reception?

This is why their claim of being a national carrier bugs me. If they have nationwide coverage, they shouldn't be able to be upset about roaming since it shouldn't exist.
  3. Iphone5

I'm wondering the same thing, but I haven't heard anything yet.
  4. screen during calls

The screen unlock delay bugs the crap out of me. I haven't really noticed any sluggishness with the proximity sensor in calls.
  5. Apple wins against Samsung

Well said. That's what we should be upset about here. Hopefully this will lead to some patent reform This is a weird relationship as they're not only competitors, but Samsung actually supplies parts for the iPhone.
  6. [ROM][JB][08/25/2012] Jellybro Euroskank CM10 [NIGHTLIES]

Drama that occurred over at Android Central and XDA, it will NOT HAPPEN HERE! The mods are very aware of the situation and will not tolerate trolling, abuse, and starting fights over here. This is not your normal "thread" its a family. This will serve as all the explanation needed. We are dedicated to keeping this thread clean and not having our members abused or harassed.
  7. Apple wins against Samsung

Hypothetically, let's switch Apple and Samsung so that Samsung is defending its patents. Would we still be having this argument? Let's remove Apple completely and say Samsung is suing Microsoft? How do you feel about the lawsuit now? By the way, Apple has outstanding lawsuits against other Android manufacturers, it's not that they're just going over Samsung because they're taking some market share. Sure, it's part of it, but that's not the only reason. source: http://www.businessinsider.com/apple-vs-samsung-everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-patent-trial-of-the-century-2012-7?op=1
  8. Apple wins against Samsung

Alright, someone has to defend Apple here, it may as well be me. The fact of the matter is that Apple's board wasn't going to sit around and let someone else infringe on their copyrights. If you take issue that the patents were granted, that's fine, and you should. It's ridiculous some of the patents Apple has been granted. But when you have the patent, it's your obligation to defend it. Apple has said that punitive action was not its first choice. They asked Samsung repeatedly to knock it off, and when they wouldn't, they resorted to legal action. It's the correct course of action for this situation, as much as I hate how this country has become rife with ridiculous lawsuits (that's another story). Apple spent five years and who knows how many millions of dollars revolutionizing the touch screen device industry. Why stand by when someone comes by and blatantly rips off your work? Sure, Apple steals designs from others, but it has revolutionized all the handheld device markets it has entered in recent years. You could argue that their designs are similar to others, but they improve on things in a way that no other company has. I am not an Apple apologist or an Apple fanboy, but there's a darn good reason they sell so many devices. What did Samsung improve on? In my experience as a GS2 owner... nothing. They simply ripped off Apple's design and didn't bother to make any noticeable improvements on it. I welcome and encourage your comments. We all benefit from dialog instead of everyone taking one side and throwing poo.
  9. [ROM][JB][08/25/2012] Jellybro Euroskank CM10 [NIGHTLIES]

Welcome! I look forward to updates on this ROM.
  10. Been having LOS issues on the default kernel, going to try alpha 1.
  11. I got this loaded tonight, and here's how I did it. I was having issues getting the kernel with CWM6 loaded. 1) Extract Sbrissen's kernel, it should only contain a file called boot.img. 2) Flash boot.img with Mobile ODIN in the Kernel slot 3) When the screen goes and stays black, enter CWM by pressing Vol+ and power 4) Follow the steps in DK's OP at Android Central
  12. are you trying to flash to install jb ? I had this problem to at first.. how I got to work was I flashed phantomfreaks kernel in cm9 clockworkmod...it got stuck at boot loop ..but then i took the battery out and then I held vol. Up and power to reboot cwm and it Booted into cwm 6 and Icleared cache and dalvik cache and then flashed jellybro/gapps from there and it worked from that I'm on stock rooted, which comes with CWM5. I tried to flash the JB kernel through Odin to get to CWM6 so I could flash the Euroskank rom in CWM, but the flash failed. I've also tried flashing straight from CWM5 but that doesn't work either. My computer always does this, use a different computer and see what happens with odin. I have no other computer, and Mobile ODIN Lite says "Partition could not be found in file." when I load Sbrissens_JB_Odin_restore.tar into the Kernel slot.

  14. I tried flashing the sbrissens JB odin cwm6 file last night and Odin told me it failed, then my phone wouldn't boot. I had to Odin sickins kernel to get back to clockwork so I could restore a nandroid backup. Has anyone else worked around this?
  15. I've tried flashing the Milestone 6 zip from both CM7 and from my stock ROM and I get the assert error both times. What did you do differently to get it to work?
