  1. data roaming deal

Yup 400mb is a joke and that's why after 22 years I switched this past spring to Verizon. I am not as happy about the call quality at my home. But we travel a lot and the roaming thing was becoming an issue. Especially after we were told they would flip a switch and all would work. Except that our two S5 that we had bought a couple months before would never work then they spent another year promising lte roaming but took another year to turn it on. It was the last nail in the coffin. But VOLTE is pretty awesome on Verizon. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
  2. Motorola update service

I had trouble getting update so I pulled Sim and told the phone to look for updates and it found it, updated, replaced Sim, all is good. Weird. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
  3. Motorola update service

Nope, no 6.0.1 on XPE, it is only the May security patch. Less than a 10mb file. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
  4. Motorola update service

I keep checking and my Moto X pure edition still says it is up to date on the Feb. release. I am in Hawaii right now (for vaca) so maybe that is the issue. I just wish there was a rhyme or reason to these roll outs. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
  5. Motorola update service

My guess is a boot loop, wait for a twrp update zip. I would check the Moto X section of XDA that is where I hang and they said there isn't a twrp zip file for it yet. Also it is only the May security update so nothing too exciting. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
  6. data roaming deal

This is the reason I left for Verizon last month. We had 2 S5 phones and were told all it took was a flip of the switch and roaming was a go so we re-upped for another 2 years. Fast forward 1 year and we are told roaming is limited and our phones will probably never roam. I bought 2 Moto X pure editions from Amazon.com, paid ETF and walked away. Haven't looked back since. HD calling is the bomb though it is almost like someone is whispering in your ear. I have also traveled quite extensively and had no issues. If I stayed local I would not have switched, but happy I did. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk

"Oh well. But that 4g at a 400MB cap are a good mix anyway..." Bwah hahahaha!! This comment made my day.
  8. data roaming deal

Esn on existing line, but when my wife upgraded her phone last year they put her on new style plan and left my line on the old essential plan (complete mess up on their part since the plan is a family plan it can't have less than 2 lines which it does now. Strange since we shared family plan that only one line migrated to new plan.) so while we are only getting billed for one plan the tech said eventually billing will catch up and bill for 2. But no matter what they say I don't want to mess with he possibility of losing month to month on my line so I left it. I figure I will be on Verizon within 30 days anyway.
  9. data roaming deal

Just an FYI they didn't charge activation or for the Sim card. Buy there was another snafu, the plan I am on is grandfathered or something and they wouldn't add it. Since I am getting ready to switch as soon as my wife finds a phone she likes I am not doing anything with it. So I have this Moto XPE and it is a toy right now because I can't hook it up and my wife is dragging her feet. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk

I posted this question somewhere else on the USCC forum, but answers seem to flow quicker here. I just got the Moto XPE, just wondering if they still charge an activation fee or just a couple bucks for the nano sim?
  11. Did u get charged an activation fee or just a couple bucks for the Sim?
  12. data roaming deal

Yeah, I can't wait, that's why I am getting my own unlocked phone so I can jump around if I am not happy. I think Verizon might have to rethink customer service if people can just move companies if they don't like them.
  13. data roaming deal

I just checked map and I am inside "Partner Coverage" so I am roaming 3g and voice. I have an S5 so no LTE roaming for me. Which is why, in the next 30 days, I am jumping ship and going to big red.
  14. data roaming deal

So I am sitting in Kansas City Airport looking at this sign and roaming. Yeah!

I tend to disagree, if it is on a map that we are to rely on for coverage and the map is public, I would call that official. While there hasn't been an announcement, so to speak, if they are testing or not wanting people to rely on the 4g thing then they shouldn't put it on a public map.
