  1. Pictures slowly dissolving from gallery

It would seem like a SD problem, but you tried others and same result... I have to agree, a phone issue. Although weird, that's what I would suspect. Are you on the latest firmware? Perhaps there was an issue with a previous release or maybe the most current one is causing this? Maybe try a different firmware - but I would strongly recommend calling Samsung and telling them. They may know about it and issue a RMA for you? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  2. [How To] GSM unlock S6

read the forum and you will know how to do it. the very thread you posted in tells you how
  3. Personally I would just assure myself root capabilities prior to purchase - but that's me. I wouldn't be able to bring myself to use it without adaway (or the like) - which requires root. Additionally, bloat. That was the reason I rooted to begin with back in the HTC Merge days. Bloat is a no-go on any device, if I didn't put it there, then they better let me remove it. Beyond that I could live without it. But until they stop forcing bloat and ads, I'll either not upgrade or stick to a line that I know full well will have root. Again, that's just me. 6. Second opinion on G4 on ebay?

It is probably one and the same, however, when it's activated on USCC it then locks to USCC until they release it. If it's bought at full price (like from LG or Newegg) it would be unlocked, since there's no contract there wouldn't be any lock on it once activated. That's my assumption, based on hardware specs it would fit the "unlocked" bands like a Nexus. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  7. Second opinion on G4 on ebay?

They don't always mark the box it's in the model number. That's the important part. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  8. Call CS with all the info you can and explain the situation. They will likely sympathize with you and do everything to correct it. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  9. COE credit is not automatic

After you pay off a phone you're paying installments on there's a discount - but said discount isn't automatically applied to your account, you have to contact them and request it be applied. So if you're making payments on your new phone it won't matter, but if you're paying for it in full then you need to have them put that discount on your account. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  10. How to easily capture an iOS device screen video?

Is there a question to be answered or...? Didn't you answer you own question? IDK of any other way (i didnt know of this way, either tbh).
  11. Call Forwarding

You won't be billed unless you make an outgoing call from your US Cellular number, which you would not be doing because you're not making an outbound call with your US Cellular phone. I've done this also, good workaround on the cheap and quick. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

  13. Get AppleCare?

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.imore.com/should-you-get-applecare-insurance-iphone%3famp] That's what I found on it and comparing the two - plus another option, it helps kind of weigh the pros and cons as well as full details of each. Worth a read. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  14. S8+ Root, anyone?

If it doesn't work I don't think it would hurt anything. It would just fail and maybe reboot. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  15. Boot Animation

It's incredibly simple all you have to do is replace the boot animation that's there with the one you want so when you copy the new one into that folder you replace the original and then change permissions to rw-r--r-- Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  16. Virus'?

Yup. I had a lady who swore her phone was hacked by someone and whoever that someone was was taking control of the phone and doing things remotely, like changing settings, setting lock codes and passwords, making calls and even talking to her through the phone. It was, hands down, the single most crazy thing I'd ever heard of happening. After looking at it for 3 mins it's lock code was set and it was impossible to get around it without wiping it, which she absolutely refused to do. This was an Apple iPhone 6S, Apple told her that she needed to have her Apple ID and password in order to reset the phone so that it can be used which she "did not create and does not know what it could be". Lol. So she got a different phone, an S6, exactly the same thing happened. Exact same thing. (Wow) Except with Sammy it's IMPOSSIBLE to bypass the lock unless you know the Samsung account that locked it, which she "didn't make" and "didn't set up" - so the 4 day old S6 was rendered useless all of my efforts to get a working phone we're in vain. Yeah... That was the weirdest one. She insisted she had nothing to do with it however I know that what she claimed happened is not even possible so.... Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

  18. Virus'?

It's not really a thing no. Anybody who says that simply doesn't understand something that's going on with the phone. There is the extremely rare off-chance that if somebody had a rooted phone and an APK that had been modified into some form of malware or virus but was designed to imposter a legitimate app that was given Superuser permission by the user - then yes in that scenario of virus could be a thing. However in all my years, I've never seen it happen or heard of it happening to anyone. But for 99.99% of instances where somebody says that it means, precisely, nothing. As for antivirus programs for a phone they are completely and utterly useless if you have a stock device. If you're rooted and use alternative apps or hacked apps, then they could be of use, but still, I've had a rooted device for going on ten years now and I sometimes use illegitimate apps and have never found the need for one and I've never had anything happen. 19. LG G3 Root Guide

Root Status: ROOT Confirmed OLD METHOD NEW METHOD (5.0 Lollipop)
  20. Me too, let me know. I also have professional data recovery tools and software should you need it (I can provide temp use copies also) if the data is on a SD card then it's easier, if not then it might be trickier but not impossible. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  21. I actually JUST dealt with a similar issue with a G4, I pulled the battery and put it right back, powered it on fine. However, for the previous 2-3 hours it wouldn't respond to anything, not plugged in or power button, nothing - dead. Something must have been funky because just a quick battery pull made it work again. As for recovery, if it has a knock code or other password protection, I doubt it could ever be recovered by anyone other than LG. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
