Make sure these 3 lines are in your build.prop ro.telephony.default_cdma_sub=0 ro.telephony.default_network=10 telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=1 Also, dial *#*#4636#*#* and go to phone settings, then make sure LTE/GSM/CDMA (auto) is selected (might be in a different order or wording, but you get the idea) Reboot Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  2. Upcoming Promotions

They have a deal now but you have to Port in from a different carrier - free S8. For current customers, I don't think there is anything other than upgrade. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  3. Note 5 Stock Firmware

I'm 99.999% sure any root breaks Samsung pay. Samsung pay is worthless anyway. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  4. Note 5 Stock Firmware

Google is your friend (you dont need a kernel i don't think) Odin TWRP SuperSU use the same method as every single samsung, ever. Took 5 minutes to find all of it. If the original method doesnt work, then idk. The links are to the newest and most up to date versions available.
  5. Note 5 Stock Firmware

did you even try this? http://teamuscellular.com/Forum/topic/8945-601-root-custom-recovery-xposed/ I'm sure the original method still works, it always has, it's just if samsung broke something between then and now (same android version, so im guessing not)
  6. Note 5 Stock Firmware

Then idk - theres no way anyone here can know. It's on USCC to release it, we cant make them do it or hurry it along, it is what it is - wait, i guess?

  10. Note 5 Stock Firmware

it's 6.0 - i uploaded it myself. If GSM carriers and international have it, but not CDMA carriers (which is mostly typical) it's not surprising. proof it's 6.0 not 7.0:

  13. I would imagine that it probably wasn't uscc, but I don't know. You can downgrade with Odin we have the images on this site rather than taking it to US Cellular and I doubt they would even be able to do that Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  14. On the S7 it uses the CP, AP, CRC, etc files in the zip instead of one AP file (sadly) In Odin there are several boxes, each with a label - and the file names begin with it's corresponding Odin location. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

I don't think the phone payments are tied to the account contract term anymore. Idk tho. Hopefully someone can chime in Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  16. May want to grab their SU add-on also, so you have root on the rom. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

I edited my comment, added a bit more to further drive the point home. Hopefully a higher up at USC sees it. They should. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

I am LOVING their choice of terminology. "Optimized". LMAO. I actually laughed out loud. Optimized. Holy crap, that's rich. That's on the same level of when Nancy Pelosi said "we have to pass the bill to see what's in it" - that's how bat****, bold faced, and incredibly dumb it is for them to say that. Ok, so it's optimized, right, UACC? For the 2nd time (3rd time?) I'mma Google that - and let's just see. ...well ok. It means "to make the best use of" - which, if you're a moron is technically what they are doing, optimizing your data for streaming 144p without buffer. They're basically giving you a 1440p TV but only letting you watch pre-2000 programming. And they said 1.5mbps for SD (SD is defined as 480p) YouTube, Netflix, and Hulu themselves all have descriptions of bandwidth required for specified stream quality - which I posted earlier, and there isn't a streaming service that says 1.5mbps is recommended for SD. ...I should stop. They obviously know what they're doing. They just hope people get so sick of the runaround that they cave or leave. Which isn't fair to the ones paying the bill. I'm sorry you guys are experiencing this, I just hope there's enough public outcry to force their hand. Vote with your wallet, people, that's how s*** gets done in this world. ADD moment: if I were getting 1.5mbps I would expect to be PAYING for 1.5mbps (and in the US, average 1.5mbps DSL is available for ~$27/mo without any data cap of any kind) JUST... SAYING.... Lastly, my comments about speeds and NASA crafts built and launched 4 decades ago, fact check me uscc. I dare ya. 2017 and you're giving your PAYING CUSTOMERS "LTE" that is, at best, a joke. I did the math out of curiosity. At 1.5Mbps it would take 32 hours 30 minutes 28 seconds to use 22GB. Thats if you were pulling 1.5Mbps the entire time continuously. For additional info, that's the same as T1 or DSL, it's also the data transfer rate of the original Mars Curiosity Rover on a good day (maxes out at 2Mbps) We can send data 33.9 Million miles at a faster rate than USCC allows it's users. Let that sink in, then realize that once you manage to hit 22GB you're speeds are the same as Voyager 2, which launched in 1977. Yup... Wow. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  20. Pictures slowly dissolving from gallery

Hmm... That's what I recommend to everyone - that's a good card, certainly capable of working... You said that in other devices the gray bars aren't there? If you put it in a PC and copy them to it (like a backup) are the bars there or gone? If they're gone it could just be a wonky thing with the phone? Idk why it would do that but as long as they're not ACTUALLY damaged then... I probably would try a different gallery app, like Piktures or Google photos instead? Lol I am amazed that they are censoring their comments. Anything showing the truth is kicked out. That is total and inexcusable BS Imo. If that's how it is and that's the plan you designed and sold to customers why would you be so ashamed of it to hide their honest, unfiltered feedback? Because they know that potential customers might see that and run away laughing. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

My $ is on damage control - once the word got out that they were (somewhat) misleading customers - and the fact that even their own employees didnt know - I'm gonna have to say that they now realize that they played a stupid game.
  23. 6.0.1 Root, Custom Recovery, & XPOSED

I will try to put something together - I'm not very familiar with the N5 but I can try. I have no idea about the kernel, I doubt you need a custom one. The Sprint TWRP should work just fine. You dont NEED a kernel to use TWRP. As for Odin, you can use 3.12 - as long as it's 3.10 or newer, you're fine - once 7.0 hits though you'll NEED 3.12. For SuperSU, don't use Systemless, thats for the Nexus/Pixel only I believe. You can use any SuperSU version 2.71 or newer on 6.0.
  24. Nougat

Should, yes - idk for 100% sure. I would wait for the 7.0 update and see if we get root on that - so yes I would do it.
