  1. This worked to fix the finger print sensor issue. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=72201801 Sent from my SM-G935R4 using Tapatalk Sent from my SM-G935R4 using Tapatalk
  2. Just an update, the update and root on nougat apparently broke the fingerprint sensor. Only had 1 app I use that on so no biggy for me. Sent from my SM-G935R4 using Tapatalk
  3. The wife took the update and is really liking her battery usage. Said it is lasting way longer before needing charged(no definitive proof here. just what she said). She is trying to get use to the ui changes. So i decided to go ahead and update mine as the last week or so it has been lagging more than normal and eating battery. So i downloaded our firmware from updato.com and flashed with odin 3.12.3 and used the home.csc so not to lose any apps and data(had everything backed up with titanium in case of issues). All went well and was running fine so i decided might as well root and see how that goes. Rooted using this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-s7-edge/how-to/heres-how-rooted-nougat-s7-edge-g935t-t3567502 and i used the alternative root.bat listed in the op(post #688) i also did the suggested cache wipe and leave the phone for 5-10min, i waited at least 10 watching a youtube video. Have been running all day with no noticeable lag and decided to download Antutu and do a test, pulled a 132374. I know that benchmarks dont mean dudu but to me it verified it is running as fast and smooth as it seems. So far i have no complaints and have not found anything not working properly.
  4. Spent 2hrs of my evening on the phone with customer reps and tech reps, both of which had absolutely no clue about hd vs sd, they both said it was only video streaming that should be affected, the tech rep finally figured out that sd was " throttled" ( my words) he said that "feature" was only for the "sd" and we agreed it wasn't a feature. He was informed that the hd plan should not be throttled so I called back and asked the rep what plan I was on and she said the unlimited plus( hd ) and told me the speeds I was getting, 1.5-1.9 down ,on all my lines including an iPhone, was the best I could expect. Told her it's time to find a new carrier after 12yrs cause that is [emoji470] dudu!! Sorry for the rant but am extremely upset especially since they obviously where telling all their reps the wrong definition of the "sd" vs "hd". Talk about misleading, bet their employee turn over is horrindous and management can't figure out why, tippicle corporate business. End Rant.....For today[emoji16] Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  5. Just wanted to let you guys know this works on our variant of the S7 Edge. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3552824 I flashed with Flash Fire and mounted system as read/write without any issues and it definitely makes a big difference in sound output. Try at your own risk!!, but is working on my rooted US Cellular S7 Edge running PK1 firmware. Gonna try the dual speaker sound mod next and will update here if it works. The dual speaker mod also worked for me, link below. I am using windows 7 professional 64-bit. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3494412 Here is something else I found that works on the the edge panel to control your music. I only tested with Spotify, as that is the music player I always use. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3365528 Sentm my SM-G935R4 using Tapatalk
  6. I really like my Nvidia Shield tablet(actually 2 of them b/c of a battery recall). Mine have a stylus, not sure on the new ones, expandable memory and nividia is very good about updates. I even ended up buying the wireless remote, looks like an Xbox remote to me, and hooking it up to the TV through the mini HDMI port and watching sling TV and just using the tab in general. Just an option to think about as everyone has their own needs. Sent from my SM-G935R4 using Tapatalk
  7. It all depends if I gotta shave or not[emoji6]. On a serious note all speed tests I have run show exactly the same as before the upgrading to the new plan. Have not tested while tethering, as I don't do much tethering. Sent from my SM-G935R4 using Tapatalk
  8. So my question is: the shared data plans most of us are on now, are they considered "standard definition" or "high defintion". Sorry for any ignorance in this question, but this is the first time I have heard of these different data definitions. Sent from my SM-G935R4 using Tapatalk
  9. Wife and son are running it without issue. I'm running S7 edge(rooted and removed some b/s) with no issues. Their phones are completely stock. Sent from my SM-G935R4 using Tapatalk
  10. All the info I've seen on getting Google Assistant to work on the 6 involves changing the build prop to Pixel XL to get it to work. So if that's the case it will say that on the info screen and anything it connects to. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  11. That sucks, my boy got a 10pt third day of our regular season( pic below) and we shot a couple does. His biggest so far, rough scored 141. One of the phones will actually be for him. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
