  1. No it's 402-367-xxxx
  2. Did you have an issue with the initial sign up? It won't even accept my number for a transfer.
  3. So after discussing Fi a bit with IR1O I decided to finally sign up. I had to lie about my zip code but then when it asked for the phone number I wanted to use it said it could transfer that number. Has anyone else had this issue when signing up?
  4. I have a proclip holder for the XPE if you are interested. It fits the XPE with the plastic bumper case. However I always had a tpu case on it and it fit just fine too. This is just the phone holder and you would have to buy the appropriate mounting clip from there to fit you vehicle. I had it for about a month before I switched to a 6p. It's in good shape. http://www.proclipusa.com/phone-holders/device/motorola/moto-x-pure-edition/holder-with-tilt-swivel-511788-19913.cmsv?p_leftorright=0
  5. Quick update on the 5" Pixel after 8 days. Battery is still doing great. I've got all but a couple of my normal apps installed. I've been adding them slowly to catch any battery hogs. And so far so good. I'm currently at 11 hours off charge, 2 hrs 6 min SOT and 53% battery. I've settled in at about 25 percent brightness as the ambient sensor does a great job of controlling it when it needs to ramp up. Direct sun is no problem at all. UI is still fast as hell and smooth. Very few app hiccups to speak of. And the ones that have showed a hair of jank are off the beaten path apps that don't get many updates to smooth out bumps. Signal strength is good both cellular and WiFi. I haven't had any bluetooth issues that I've read about. Hooks right up to my Ford Sync every time. BT speakers and my hands free headset works great. Camera is just stupid. So so fast. I took some great pics at my daughter's volleyball game. Handled the action ahots great. And really just awesome pics all around. Anyone on the fence about it ask me any questions you might have.
  6. Also, a quick Pixel update. First full day, I'm at 11 hours off charge, 25% battery, and a few minutes shy of 4 hours SOT. I loaded a bunch of apps this morning and did some other initial set up stuff, was on the road for 3 hours today through some weak signal areas, and had navigation going a couple times for a total of 30-40 minutes. 2 of the 4 hours of SOT was indoors. I have brightness on auto and the slider at around 40% (still got way plenty bright sitting outdoors and in the car) Bluetooth on all day also. So yeah, not bad I don't think. This is more usage then my average day for sure so I feel pretty good about battery life going forward. (until the first android update screws it up!)
  7. Just wanted to throw a quick comment in here about the LG X Power. My daughter had a mishap going down some stairs and it ended up shattering the screen on her nexus 5x. And I mean shattering with shards and all. Anyway, I swung by my awesome small town USC shop today looking for something cheap. He had sold a LG X Power and the guy brought it back 4 days later for a Moto G 4play. (love that name) Anyway it was like new and he sold it for half price ($110) outright. Long story short I am actually pretty impressed. She got all of her normal apps loaded up, including snapchat which seems to be a battery hog. And after 2 hours of SOT in the vehicle on a sunny day (high screen brightness) she was down to 91%. This included a few pretty poor cell areas on the road trip we took today. I played with it for a few minutes when we got home and truthfully, it's a decent experience if you look past lg's UI. Very little lag, decent screen, respectable camera, very light weight, quick charge, expandable storage... Not bad at the normal outright price of 220 let alone 110. Just wanted to throw this on here incase anyone is looking for a budget phone that seems to perform beyond its price tag.
  8. Right off the bat, I love going back to a smaller phone for sure. That bottom chin, really doesn't bother me. Obviously smaller would be better, or at least some reason to justify it... Signal compared to my wife's 2014 X is pretty close. Under SIM status the dbm is very similar. The Moto does seem to hold on to LTE a bit longer before resorting to 3g in my go to testing spot. (My old farm shop with tin inside and out with foil faced insulation between.) Made one call, ear piece sounds crisp and plenty loud for my 80's hair band concert ears. Audio speaker gets pretty loud. Maybe a touch louder than the 6p but not as loud as the Moto XPE. Sound quality is okay. Nothing fabulous. Build quality feels solid. The angular edge helps with the grip. Buttons are nice and clicky. UI and app loading is blazing fast. But since I haven't loaded any apps yet we'll see how it goes over the next few days. So far so good.
  9. Activated it just now. Told him it was a 5X. He had a bit of an issue getting it to place a call so he transferred me to a tech. She had it going right away. I then asked if they would be activating the Pixel phones. She put me on hold for a second and came back telling me that they would not be as of now but that could change any day. LOL
  10. So my Pixel should arrive today, if I call to activate it and they seem perplexed, which allowable phone should I tell them that it is? Or does it not matter which I tell them? EDIT: Went back to the "which new phone" thread and saw where IR1O posted to call them a Nexus. So 10-22.
  11. Gotcha. Whether it could be activated and deactivated at any time during the cycle was the detail I could never find spelled out. Taking the kids to California in December so I'll have to get signed up. Thanks for the info!
  12. Outstanding. My wife and I usually go somewhere tropical one week a year and we try to get away somewhere different with the kids in the US for a week each year. Those are usually struggles with us cellular. Do you pay a monthly fee or is it more prepaid. I never really could figure that out.
  13. Is it possible to use my us cell plan 50 weeks out of the year and then just buy a fi card to pop in while traveling or do you have to go all in? I use enough data where fi is pretty pricey.
  14. They reeled me right in with the Kool Aid this time! I still have a little sticker shock but I guess there are way more expensive hobbies.
