  1. Good equivalent of the Moto X Pure

I would also take into account security updates, I doubt your pure will get a fix for the latest wifi and Bluetooth vulnerabilities, while a newer phone will. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  2. Don't buy it through Verizon as it will have a locked bootloader and some bloat. If recent news with the nexus 6P return fiasco is any indication, get it through Google store or project fi to ensure the best support if you have any issues in the future. Project fi is offering with a Google Home mini for the same price as the Google store for what it's worth. I'm also a convert from USCC to project fi, I totally recommend it! I'm on the same USCC network I always was, but now I have actual roaming, and it's cheaper. I don't see a reason to stick with uscc other than phone selection and maybe if you use a lot of data. 3. Good equivalent of the Moto X Pure

My wife had a moto g4+ until the battery failed, so I got her the g5+ as a replacement. She loves it! It's snappy, battery life is terrific, and the fit and finish is pretty good. I think the camera on her g4 took better pictures, but it's passable. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  4. Can Moto X be unlocked?

Throw lineage OS on her s7, it will be great hardware with simple software that almost matches the moto stuff Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  5. ROM 8.0.0 KLTE Lineage 15.0

My S5 is my bathroom facebook phone now that I have a 6p on FI. I still update it every week lol. I will put oreo on it once haggertk says it's ready Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  6. S5 contract just ended..unlock?

Also, this forum is volunteers, not actually employees Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  7. S5 contract just ended..unlock?

Unfortunately the S5 was made in over 20 models that were pretty network dependent. Network unlocking won't help you if you have the G900R4, and if you mean bootloader it's already unlocked. International was always unlocked Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  8. My wife has a stock moto x, we ultimately stopped using it and bought a new phone because of this issue. Formatting and all other tricks I found didn't work. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  9. USC Roaming Issues...

Last time I was in Crivitz (several months ago) service was actually a little better than previous years on my S5, but still unreliable to hold a data connection where I stay north of town. I'll have to check it out next time I'm up there with my project fi phone. I don't see mention online of a falling out Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  10. New update today! EDIT: NOUGAT IS HERE!!!!

Mrlee, try manually updating play services from apkmirror.Com, Google fixed some of the Bluetooth issues through a play services update, it may not have been pushed to your device yet. You'll need to enable installation from unknown locations, but i trust that site Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  11. Data during phone calls

S5 was the last Samsung to do a separate antenna Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  12. Take the plunge

I noticed I'm mainly on uscc towers or sprint, but uscc has the best speeds. I'm surprised you have bad signal on uscc towers, but it's all about where you are I guess Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  13. Take the plunge

Been using my 6p on fi for the last week... It's pretty great. Same signal as my S5 had, but have the advantage of being able to leave southern Wisconsin and keep signal! Just hope I don't get the battery bug Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
  14. LG V20

Growing..... On you? [emoji23] Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
  15. The Samsung website says for us carrier versions you have to go to the carrier. If us cellular won't do anything... And neither will Samsung... I don't know. You could always try shaming them on facebook, but if they dog in and don't want to refund because of the imei mismatch... There are tutorials online for changing the imei number in software, can you try that and make it match the physical device? This is not strictly legal, but what have you got to lose, and you're not in the USA anyway Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
