  1. Roaming issue

I don't know much about LG but are you sure you have the model for the us cellular network? Maybe it's Verizon or Sprint out something. Which of is the case, you would have a similar issue. Did you buy the phone new or used? What's the model number? Start there. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  2. I would go here https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/rom-fulmics-rom-3-0-tweaks-hub-ota-v30b-t3304556/amp/ and ask your question. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  3. S8+ Root, anyone?

Unlocked? If you mean sim unlocked then they all are. The SM-G955U is the same device for all US carriers. They all have a locked bootloader. So this means, no custom recovery. There's root available over at xda. There are also thread for carrier switching. If you just got the device, I would suggest reading the root thread and the carrier switching thread to get an idea of how this device works. It's a little different than normal. Root is gained with an engineering bootloader, and that comes with a battery cap issue at 80%. The CSC (carrier specific bloat) is installed based on the sim card. The device is a bit different than the norm so I would read those threads to get a feel for it before i did anything with Odin. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  4. S8+ Root, anyone?

A new root version using modified system and Odin. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https%3A%2F%2Fforum%2Exda-developers%2Ecom%2Fshowthread%2Ephp%3Ft%3D3693790&share_tid=3693790&share_fid=3793&share_type=t [ROOT][sNAPDRAGON S8+ALL CARRIERS] Using Odin Modified System Firmware-SamFAIL Method Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  5. S8+ Root, anyone?

They have a fix for that in the s8+ root thread on da. It's just a matter a build.prop edit if I recall. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  6. It truly does only charge to 80% But after you get your kernel tweaked and set up and turn off most of the stuff you never use, you'll still get close to 2 days on a charge which works fine for me. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  7. ROM 8.0.0 KLTE Lineage 15.0

Yeah I know right. Running the S8+ now but still flash away on my S5 couple times a week lol ...I may have a problem [emoji6] Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  8. They have updated the OP to now include a batch file (.bat) to gain root. No more adb commands to deal with and mess up. Much easier and more user friendly root process. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk

  13. Yes I have. Read read read the O.P. THEN read it again. Get all your files downloaded and have adb working with your phones. THEN read the O.P. again. Now you may be ready to root but just to be sure, read the O.P. again. Battery only charges to 80% It's known. Don't ask about it in the thread.... It's been beat to death. Good luck and happy flashing! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

  15. S8+ Root, anyone?

If done properly, after you have everything downloaded and set up and in the right places, it shouldn't take more than 30 mins.(boot up takes time) Basically, you flash firmware, do some adb stuff to get root then, through flashfire, flash the most currant system image with a root zip. It's getting the adb stuff right that is tricky. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
