  1. S8+ Root, anyone?

A new root version using modified system and Odin. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https%3A%2F%2Fforum%2Exda-developers%2Ecom%2Fshowthread%2Ephp%3Ft%3D3693790&share_tid=3693790&share_fid=3793&share_type=t [ROOT][sNAPDRAGON S8+ALL CARRIERS] Using Odin Modified System Firmware-SamFAIL Method Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  2. S8+ Root, anyone?

They have a fix for that in the s8+ root thread on da. It's just a matter a build.prop edit if I recall. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  3. It truly does only charge to 80% But after you get your kernel tweaked and set up and turn off most of the stuff you never use, you'll still get close to 2 days on a charge which works fine for me. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  4. ROM 8.0.0 KLTE Lineage 15.0

Yeah I know right. Running the S8+ now but still flash away on my S5 couple times a week lol ...I may have a problem [emoji6] Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  5. They have updated the OP to now include a batch file (.bat) to gain root. No more adb commands to deal with and mess up. Much easier and more user friendly root process. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk

  10. Yes I have. Read read read the O.P. THEN read it again. Get all your files downloaded and have adb working with your phones. THEN read the O.P. again. Now you may be ready to root but just to be sure, read the O.P. again. Battery only charges to 80% It's known. Don't ask about it in the thread.... It's been beat to death. Good luck and happy flashing! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

If done properly, after you have everything downloaded and set up and in the right places, it shouldn't take more than 30 mins.(boot up takes time) Basically, you flash firmware, do some adb stuff to get root then, through flashfire, flash the most currant system image with a root zip. It's getting the adb stuff right that is tricky. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

I believe they are working on it. Although I think I read this may work on the 8 as well...keep watching the thread. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  14. S8+ Root, anyone?

I'm rooted. It's a process. Not for the faint of heart lol The toughest part is getting it to drop into that root shell. Must get all steps right or start over again from the adb push command. But, no Knox no bloat clean fast stable touchwiz. Busybox in xbin. TB installed and works Flashfire and rootbrowser working.... now waiting for rovo or wanam to get xposed working on touchwiz Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  15. S8+ Root, anyone?

I've tried a couple times... got stuck a few more times lol Could get a root shell but couldn't get the next step to make it stick. Gonna try again this afternoon and see. You have to edit the root.sh file I guess. That's what I'm reading. Seems they may have rushed this release a little..... but it's here Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
