  1. US Cellular now Project FI Provider

So far in central Iowa, Fi likes to pick up Sprint 3g and 4g before uscc. Reading some forums on why that is, Sprints cell strength is stronger than us cells. Us cell it's very randomly the carrier it chooses (maybe 4 or 5 times) I can use signal spy dialer code and use us cell 4g all I want (calls, text, data) but after that 2 hr dialer code is up, it's like to switch back to Sprint. Not a big deal for me, but not ideal either.
  2. US Cellular now Project FI Provider

Update: Just got back home in central Iowa and BAM, LTE shows up on Project Fi. Signal spy is telling me it's US Cellular so evidently I now have the correct SIM version pushed to me. I'll try and keep you all updated in Iowa on how the service works!
  3. US Cellular now Project FI Provider

I have the newest update to the Project Fi app, J 2.5.12 (2981338) on a nexus 6, and am in central Iowa, about 35 minutes from you @iRub1Out and i'm still not seeing US Cell coverage. I'm in a 4g area. @Coolasice Do you know what the Sim update is?
  4. Free Nexus 6P Giveaways

    Charging cable still available?!
  5. Roaming Indicator Off

What I've noticed is if you have Wi-Fi off, reboot, it will say us cellular until you get back on Wi-Fi, turn Wi-Fi back off, and roaming indicator off comes back. I'm thinking when it tries to switch back to cell data it gets confused.
  6. Roaming Indicator Off

    Any ideas on this?

Mine promoted for the 5.0.1 update. It downloaded, and I clicked install and went straight to your system is up to date.... No reboot, no green android guy. And my version number still days 5.0 Can we get any confirmation of the 5.0.1 update showing a changed sw version number? Edit: this would be my SECOND installed update. Had one as soon as I got the phone booted up this afternoon, and now this one (that didn't seem to work?)

Step 3 : Extracting Factory Images ==> Extract the archive you downloaded. You can use WinRaR or 7z etc. It should look like this Step 4 : Unlock the blootloader ==> Follow this thread. (Credits @xBeerdroiDx) Step 5 : Flashing ==> Method 1 : (Short and Sweet) - Power off your phone. - Boot it in fastboot(bootloader mode) by pressing and holding Power Button + Volume Down at the same time. - Connect your phone to your PC through your USB cable. - Execute the flash-all.bat script (for Windows) or flash-all.sh(for MAC and LINUX) in the folder where you extracted the factory images. **!!** For MAC: You'll have to edit the flash-all.sh, and add "./" before every fastboot command. (For windows users) - Wait for everything to flash. - After everything finished, select "Recovery" using the volume buttons. - When a small dead Android appears, press Power Button + Volume UP. - Select "Wipe data/factory data reset" - Reboot. Your phone should be stock. Sauce: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/guide-flash-factory-images-nexus-6shamu-t2954008
  14. Nexus 6 Finally on U.S. Cellular!

To the above comments, it just baffles me to how un-informed stores/employees are. Makes me want to start my own phone company.
