  1. It doesn't really make sense that there's a combining forum for LTE Note 2 phones on the CyanogenMod forums for the i605, l900, and the r950 when a CyanogenMod version called t0lte only combines the n7105, i317, and the t889; the r950 isn't considered a t0lte phone, yet the model number is technically t0lteusc. Furthermore, I don't see why the r950 is even included in the forum anymore if it's officially in a legacy build at this point with no sign of future updating. I read somewhere that CyanogenMod t0lte versions are only for GSM phones which is why they're different but it's not very specific. So, as a result, I did some research and changed a few verification things. Normally, t0lte would deny installation in a traditional TWRP flashing menu. Some people just used a recovery on their R950 for a different model number but that seemed like quite a bad idea in case anything went wrong. To fix it, I just replaced the N7105 verification with the R950 model numbers (SCH-R950 and t0lteusc) and it worked! Mislabeled some model numbers but it was easily fixed in the build.prop which is included in the ROM already. Introducing a highly experimental CyanogenMod 12.1 for the R950. Who knows how well it works, but, to give you an idea, it hasn't crashed at all while the official CM11 crashed a couple times in using it. I don't have service which is problematic because then I can't test if service even works. I doubt it will because the t0lte model number is for GSM phones which is why the r950 is in the CDMA forum along with the L900 and the i605. But in using Wi-Fi, the camera, compass, rotation, root, modding of system properties, GPS, etc, there have been no issues except Google Play services crashing which has come and gone, themes provider crashing but the actual saved theme still working, and the camera reboot issue. I'm not entirely sure that forum users are allowed to distribute their own modifications of CyanogenMod, but I don't see anywhere that says I can't, and, frankly, it almost seems it's encouraged. Just let me know if this is kind of illegal. Here is the modified CyanogenMod now with the modified build.prop incorporated in it and Gapps in one package: https://drive.google...iew?usp=sharing Extract it to get the flashable files, then push them over via adb. If anyone has suggestions (as in changes for the build.prop etc) for any future releases I might modify, by all means. I want to be more providing than the R950 team has been (shots fired) To install, just wipe data, dalvik, and cache (simply factory reset on TWRP, probably other recoveries too) and then flash the CM12 .zip (not the whole package) and then tk Gapps if you haven't installed a Gapps package already, then install Xposed; the build.prop should install automatically. I haven't tried updating to the latest nightly via settings but it'll probably fail again as it's still registed to the original t0lte database so I do not recommend it. My current one is working just fine anyway, which is why I didn't downgrade this to a snapshot (this is a nightly). The modded build.prop includes performance enhancements, slight battery improvements, and data and wifi speed enhancements as well as some changed model numbers. Optionally, you could also get an app on the Play Store called SPenCommand (it's paid) to get stylus features back plus the pop-up window from the later Notes. While writing this, it occured to me that, if service doesn't work on this version, it might be able to work on a CDMA version (not i605 as it's incredibly glitchy in my experience of trying it) Thoughts? Enjoy your glorious Android 5.1.1; I know I have.
  2. The OTA update for Marshmallow occurred last week and I read up as much as possible before applying the update. After updating my phone, here is my quick review. Marshmallow (android 6.xx) is what the Moto G 2015 3rd gen was made for! Here are a couple of hints to the install. Backup your pictures, documents, and data to your hard drive. If you have any apps moved to your uSD card, uninstall them. Just moving them back to the phone does not seem to work as expected. Make sure your phone battery is at 100% and apply the Marshmallow update. After the phone is updated, let it settle down for a few minutes. Do some mundane tasks, then power-off the phone. If your uSD card in not a fast card, such as a class 10 or UHS-1 or faster, go buy one and replace your existing card with it. I have a 32 Gb SanDisk UHS-1 card. You can insert it into your phone now. Power-on your phone. After the phone fully boots-up, go to Settings, Storage, and select your SD card. In the upper right-hand corner is the three, vertical dot icon, press that and select format as internal. Return your screen to Home and power off, then power it back on. After the phone has fully booted-up, you can restore your data and reinstall your apps. At some point, you may get a message asking if it is ok to move apps and data to the external memory. Respond positively if that appears. With my phone it now automatically puts the pictures, media, and programs onto the external storage. And application updates occur automatically, no longer posting running out of memory messages. If you are a gamer, make sure you get a very fast and large uSD card. To restore or move data to or from my phone to pc, I use on the phone, WiFi File Explorer PRO. There are probably other apps that do the same. This is just the one I use. Once I restored my apps, those icons on my Home screens returned and are again usable. Btw, here are the Motorola release notes: https://motorola-mobility-en-in.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/108725 I hope you find this helpful.
  3. CurbThePain's Stock Deodexed Lollipop Rom for the US Cellular Galaxy S5 (klteusc) READ THE WHOLE OP! Disclaimer: I am NOT responsible for anything that happens to you, your phone, or anything as a result of flashing this rom. It is of your choice to flash said rom and or proceed to root your phone. So don't blame me if your phone is dead, it is YOUR fault. Other Info: This rom doesnt come with a kernel, it is just the system partition on its own. It has not been debloated and has not been modified in any way other than being deodexed. Use/Download any G900F touchwiz kernel that supports 5.0 lollipop. You can find the kernels over on xda developers forums. Thanks Downloads: v1 - OF3 - http://www.mediafire.com/download/vxoi8ajix8iool5/rom.zip Changelog: Changelog: 10-23-2015- -Initial Release
  4. Dear US Cellular users A member recently noticed me of the unjustice, the US990 version isn't that much supported over on xda forums. Some of you might know me from there, autorec, little kernel flasher, xposed installer or some other tool. It might also just be something other than tools. With great help from calaeb08 -----@TokenBlackGuy on this forumI present you AutoRec TWRP installer for US990 - lollipop. ----------------------------------------- What it does: -creates a backup of your bootloader, kernel, laf and recovery partition -downgrades bootloader to kitkat bootloader so we can use bump(for bump refer to google) -flashes bumped kernel, bumped TWRP 2.8.6.x(the version will change as soon there are updates) -it offers also restore (restores the previously backed up partitions) Instructions: -Although there is actually 1 (read: ONE) button, people repeatetly asked for how to, ok here it is: 1. install autorec from playstore 2. Start the app, it will ask for root, grant root to the app 3. Wait for it to pop up a messagebox with the information that it's ok to proceed(the app is initially preparing the files) 4. tap on the upper lollipop image (the arrow also points to it) 5. wait until it says that it's done. 6. it's done.. Q/A: -I'm not on stock rom, do I need/can I run AutoRec ? * Why ? If you're not on stock you probably have TWRP. -My device isn't on the supported list(or on playstore), what to do ? *PM me. I WILL ask you for your assistance and we will create your version together. -How do I enter TWRP ? When I try the hardware key mode it's on the white screen saying "Factory reset". * Yes..It's normal. Hold volume down + power. Wait for the LG logo, release the keys literally for an eye blink and hold the 2 keys together again(keep holding). A white reset screen will appear and you have to accept twice. Vol Keys are for navigating and power confirms. The other method is by using some reboot app like rebooter, quickboot or my reboot widget . Third method is by enabling usb debugging, downloading ADB, open cmd or console and type: "adb reboot recovery" Fourth is almost the same: download termina emulator from playstore, open up, type: "su", type: "reboot recovery" -I can't see my TWRP folder...where is it ? *Install terminal emulator from playstore and type: "su", then type: "restorecon -FR /data/media/0" If it shows any error then either you didn't type "su" first or you typed it wrong I will add a button to AutoRec for it so you don't have to type anything. -I've got a fastboot error, what to do ? *Either you flashed it on a refurbished device which is inside something different from what the model number reports or...something went wrong. PM me and I will provide an one click fix. Link Alternative link IT would be on playstore but I'm tired with google play store takes 2 hours to approve it or reject, lastly just rejections for using improper description, since I support most of the variants there are also very similiar descriptions and/or app names, so..sadly no playstore for now. If you like the app and would like to contribute to the further app development and support me, the project or the newly projects that WILL come, for example a phone unbricker which uses another phone connected via usb otg to unbrick the other (yeah..SF right ?) you can also donate - paypal: tr3x.jezgra@gmail.com , no donation is too small, no donation is too large. Nothing is mandatory of course, all my apps are free as always. On any questions refer to this thread or freely pm me, or send an email.
  5. Guys, I think I really messed up. When Samsung did an OTA update for 5.0 Lollipop, I had issues with it. I decided to root using Odin. Different ROMs and BLs and such. Now, my Galaxy S5 has been stuck in bootloop for weeks. I cannot access Recovery mode due to the bootloop. I can still enter download mode, and when I do, this is what I see ODIN MODE PRODUCT NAME: SM-G900R4 CURRENT BINARY: Custom SYSTEM STATUS: Official REACTIVATION LOCK: OFF KNOW WARRANTY VOID: 0x1 (4) QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB) RP SWREV: S1, T2, R1, A2, P1 SECURE DOWNLOAD: ENABLE UDC START I have read hundreds of articles by now and they all tell me the same thing, use Odin to flash stock firmware back onto the device, but I get the same results. Odin successfully flashes the stock firmware, boot screen comes on and says RECOVERY BOOT in blue letters at the top left-hand side of the screen. It then continues to be stuck in the bootloop, never going past the Samsung Galaxy S5 screen. As of last night, I have tried multiple different recoveries, bootloaders, ETC. and now it will go from the Galaxy screen to the charging screen. I left it to charge all night, but the battery appears to still be dead, it didn't charge AT ALL. I am completley lost as to what I can do. Ive tried everything, Including Kies. Kies doesnt recognize the device at all. Ive redownloaded the Samsung Official drivers multiple times. Nothing I have done is working OR helping. Please help me!
  6. Xposed

I'm just gonna leave this this right here... :-) http://forum.xda-dev...-6-try-t3030220 So me and a few other guys over in the Xposed Thread were having issues getting our Nexus 6 devices to run the new Xposed Alpha properly. It kept throwing out errors that Xposed wasn't installed and modules didn't work. After a bunch of trial and error, we figured out how to make it work (at least for us)! So if you're having similar issues, try this workaround until Xposed is updated to fix this (although it may be a Nexus 6 error only). Note: Make sure you already have Xposed installed. http://forum.xda-dev....lipop-t3030118 1. Make sure SELinux is set to Permissive. You can set it to permissive using this root app, if your kernel isn't permissive by default. https://play.google.....mrbimc.selinux 2. When rebooting into your system after setting SELinux to permissive, enable the Xposed modules that you want. 3. From inside the Xposed app, perform a soft reboot. 4. When the device fully boots up, Xposed should now be fully working. If you still have issues, converting Xposed to a system app might help. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post here if it worked for you. So far for us over at the Xposed thread, it seems to have worked. Thanks guys! Enjoy your modules!
  7. So the Lollipop update for my LG G3 came out today. I wasn't thinking and installed it over the air while my phone was rooted. It downloaded, restarted my device and now it won't go past the TeamWin Recovery mode. I can get it into fastboot mode but that is all. I thought I had some backups, but realized they were lost on my broken SD card beside me. Any ideas to fix this? Should the update be somewhere in my files? If not, I have the US99020a_24.kdz file on my computer..
  8. How to prevent OTA updates?

New to the forums...tried doing a search and couldn't find anything on disabling OTA updates for the Note 4. I rooted using Chainfire Autoroot. Apparently this still allows OTA updates and I don't want to lose root when Lollipop is pushed out eventually. Is there a way to disable OTA updates using Titanium backup or something? I did read I could use flashify to flash CWM recovery, but wasn't sure exactly where to find the one I need. If Lollipop is pushed out and I lose root, is there a method out already to get root back? Can I use this method?...http://galaxynote4root.com/galaxy-note-4-root/how-to-root-galaxy-note-4-using-cwmtwrp-method/ Thanks in advance for any info, and sorry I didn't know which forum this fit in...
