  1. TWRP

Anyone figure out how to install a working TWRP recovery image on this phone yet? Every time I try to install twrp, it wont recognize my touches and sends the phone into a boot loop, forcing me to reflash CF autoroot. Any news I'm not aware of?
  2. [TOOL] SKIPSOFT ANDROID TOOLKIT - NEXUS 6P - Drivers, Unlock, Backup, Stock [MDB08M] Link: Here * Here is my answer for the Qfuse on the Nexus 6P, It is there only to let you or the end user know that there has been a modification the recovery, kernel, and or system. It dose not "blow" or trip permanently. I flashed the no encryption kernel, and went back to stock without any signs of flashing taking place. This is just for reference for the time being. To OEM unlock manually, make sure you have the latest fastboot and adb files and use this command. " Fastboot Flashing Unlock "
  3. I have my N6 on 5.1, rooted, TWRP installed, and I've been trying to flash leankernel and then a few roms but when I boot into recovery I am not able to get into my /sdcard folder. I was able to a few days ago and then it started boot looping so I reflashed stock and now it won't let me get back into /sdcard or /storage etc. Also when I plug it into my computer it shows it as an mp3 device and I have it set to MTP no Camera so I'm really confused and unsure about why this is happening. My old Galaxy S4 from Samsung wouldn't do this and Samsung is weird about this type of stuff. Any ideas to help and fix it? Thanks
  4. Alright so tl;dr right here: I tried to root my phone and I really didn't know what I was doing. I'm on Samsung Galaxy SIII, and now all I get is a startup message that says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again" I'm 100% certain that I'm not the only post on here who has had this problem. The thing is, is that I'm not tech savy so I have no idea what all the post are meaning and not only that, but I'm needing someone to guide me through this step by step "unbricking your phone: for dummies" please. Okay long story (with details (and if you need anymore, just tell me!)) So last night I tried using Odin 3.04 to flash a rom to my SIII. It was my first time ever flashing and I was like why not give it a shot (I know how bad of an idea this was without supervision, I know it was bad I just need help getting it undone now) and evidently it was the wrong rom because now I'm stuck in the aforementioned page. I downloaded kies (I tried both regular Kies and Kies 3) and it won't connect to either (best buy told me it wouldn't connect because it was rooted and samsung won't recognize non-samsung software). It will connect to Odin still. I've tried downloading other roms to place over the wrong rom and it wasn't good, either, because my phone is still in a bricked mode. I can get in the download mode still (by power button + volume down + home button and then volume up) but that's about all I know. I just need my phone to work again, I don't care if I have to start back over and lose all my data all I want is a working phone. Please help. This is killing me. Again, I need all the terms in the most simple forms that you can put them, please.
  5. Recovery Questions

Ok, so I'm trying to flash KT TWRP via flashify and it's constantly bootlooping on a screen saying recovery isn't seandroid enforcing. I'm assuming I'm doing something stupid, I just can't figure out what. Been out of this a while, haven't flashed anything since the deodexed version of stock that was out soon after I got the phone. Help?
  6. I found this POST on XDA, basically you you download a app called Flashify and flash the Recovery.img with the Flashify app. I used OUDHS Touch CWM-based Recovery for my cwm and TWRP Here are some QR Links if you prefer: Flashify: TWRP-Recovery.img: CWM-Recovery.img: ↓NOTE!↓ If your going to use CWM for your recovery you need to flash a super su zip file after booting into CWM to fix root permissions. 1. Download SuperSu CWM flashable zip: 2. Navigate recovery by using the volume keys and power to select 3. Choose install zip from sdcard, then pick internal or external (where you copied it to) 4. Scroll down to the and select it to install 5. IF IT ASKS TO FIX ROOT CHOOSE NO 6. I believe flashing the superSu messes up the supersu app already installed on your phone, i just uninstalled the app and reinstalled it; most people will be flashing a rom so not a big deal. Once you are in Flashify select the "recovery image" option and point it to the recovery.img you downloaded. Then flash it Thanks eloyho for this really easy way to flash recoveries CWM credit go's too Shabbypenguin and the OUDHS

  11. UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER REQUIRED Here it is: TWRP I've tested backing up / restore, wiping, and installing an old backup (from ver. and all seem to work. I also included the flag "HAVE_SELINUX := true" so it should be compatible with the newer 4.3 based ROMs (needs tested). To install: Download and unzip file (forum will not allow "img") fastboot flash recovery XT901-XT907-TWRP- I have had the screen start very dim. Sometimes restarting the recovery would fix it, otherwise go to settings / screen, and set the timeout short so it goes out. Press power to turn on and it is at full brightness. Enjoy!!
  12. Recently , my android froze, restarted and was stuck in boot loop. I already fixed problems like these so i put it in recovery mode to factory/reset. This phone is ROOTED with SuperUser. Usualy before i factory reset, i take my SD Card out , but i accidently pressed continue and it deleted everything, including sd card files i had before. So when it rebooted it still had SuperUser and all, but it had no Internal Memory .I tried installing apps and it said there was no Insf. Space, I knew that i had tons of space since i factory resetted this, buti looked under settings and it had said there was no interal storage, only SD card -__-i uninstalled superuser, completly still didnt fix it, so i factory resetted it again. But there were errors , like E:Failed to mount cache no file exits , rfs .. etc. i saw it before i factory resetted it but i neglected it and resetted thinking it would be fine anyways. But i guess it wasntAhhhhh, another thing , i just came into ROOTING this month. so i barely know whut yu are talking aboutI do kinda know what ROMS are and stuff but i was only interested in rooting so i can get root doesnt have ROM on ityes it does boot up, but ONLY if the SD card is on it. ( im guessing since it has no internal memory , it uses SD card by default..?)So when its on, i removed the SD card because it has trouble reading it, i took it out and everything started crashing .causing it to freeze and force close everything. PS: I did both settings and i did the Volume Up + Home + Power combination to re cover it.. help please ? I've run out of options.
  13. Starting Thread TO help people with bricked note 10.1 or want to install the new 4.3 android on it
  14. First off, please thank TeamWin and Dees_Troy from TeamWin for providing this!! Show Dees_Troy some love by thanking him: @Dees_Troy TeamWin's site is located here: Now, I put the recovery image in a flashable zip, so this is flashable from ClockworkMod Recovery. I'll also provide the .img file for those (like myself ) who want to flash it using adb. Instructions for .img file using adb commands: Download Link to recovery.img file: 1. With the phone booted normally, connect the phone to your computer using the USB cable. 2. Download the recovery.img file, and place it on the root of your internal /sdcard. This location is NOT negotiable, unless you want to change the command to point to the location you put the file. It should be at: /sdcard/recovery.img 3. Open a command prompt window, and change directory to where you keep adb at (it is in the Android SDK - Platform-Tools directory). 4. Now type in the following (thank you dtmetz for the post where this was taken)(NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU GET THE COMMANDS EXACTLY CORRECT! I RECOMMEND COPY/PASTING THE COMMAND FROM HERE DIRECTLY INTO YOUR COMMAND PROMPT WINDOW!!!): shell@android:/ $ sushell@android:/ # dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1820480+0 records in20480+0 records out10485760 bytes transferred in 2.408 secs (4354551 bytes/sec)shell@android :/sdcard # reboot recovery5. The phone will now reboot into TWRP Recovery. There is also a .tar file for those that prefer using ODIN to flash a custom recovery. I've also made a flashable zip for those wanting to flash via recovery. NOTE: I have not personally tested it but it should work just fine. As always, flash at your own risk.
  15. This is clockworkmod recovery Built specifically for our GS3, provided for us by noobnl himself. Please give any and all thanks to him!! - I am just the messenger. This version of cwm has the assert-prop fixed so our device will be properly identified- this is important for the up and coming AOSP roms! I have created a Odin flashable tar.md5 package, available HERE. NOTE: this also is NOT a flashable zip! I have also created a CWM flashable ZIP package, available HERE. NOTE: this one IS cwm flashable! --Flash in confidence, I personally test all packages before I upload them-- . . UPLOADED NEW VERSION WITH ADB SUPPORT AS OF 10:50PM EST 8/22 UPLOADED GS3 ODIN PACKAGE, ATTACHED TO OP. . . . . . . Instructions for Odin Package Download Odin package Unzip the tar.md5 file from inside the zip file Open Odin, place phone in download mode (power off, hold vol dn + home + power, then press vol up when prompted) Connect phone, load CWM6.tar.md5 into PDA slot Press Start button, wait for reboot. Enjoy. Instructions for flashable zip Download zip package Copy to phone (internal or external, your choice) Reboot into recovery, select flash zip from sdcard Reboot Enjoy As with any flashing or customizing, 'we' are not responsible for any negative effects of installing/flashing this file. 'We' refers to myself, noobln, TeamUSCellular, or any involved in the creation and supply of the above listed file. In short- if it blows up on you, it's not our fault. But rest assured, we will try our best to help.
  16. I've been getting status 7 errors when using CWM. I understand how to remove the assert section out of the script and make it install. This is annoying to have to do this with every update of my rom. I switched to TWRP to see if that would help, same issues. Anyone have a more permanent fix? Maybe i'm missing a setting or something. I would like to use for download roms updated on my phone but can't since i have to edit each one and re-zip it.

THIS NEEDS TO BE UNZIPPED BEFORE USING Unofficial CWM for DROID RAZR M XT907 / Electrify M Thanks to: Koush for CWM. Hashcode and Dhacker for STS-Dev Team source. Djrbliss for unlocking the bootloader & providing root in the first place.

  19. We enjoy Android for what it is. Open source goodness. We're coming from Verizon with a Droid Incredible 2. Had no problems with the process of rooting and installing Cyanogenmod which we loved for zero bloatware. After all we would be just fine with android stock out of the box like god intended but for whatever reason few companies get that the customer’s liberty is paramount, not their ability to strike padded deals over drinks and golf games…not that drinks or golf games are bad, mind you. Admitedly I am pretty much a n00b and no matter how much I read (2 days now on this phone) a lot of this just doesn’t make sense. I was hoping someone here sees an inherent problem or can help me figure this out with a step by step. We're trying to get this either booting in to Cyanogenmod...or back to stock with no counts so I can take it back and just buy a friggin pantech. (kidding about the pantech btw) We’ve tried just about everything to install either the Cyanogen nightlys or the new monthly. We have root. Wiped data/Factory reset + wipe cache + wiped Dalvik Cache, install from zip a compressed file from HERE via both internal memory and SD card (formatted both ways) but we get this message every time: Installing update… Assert failed getprop(“ro.product.device”) == “ d2usc” || getprop(“ ==”d2usc” E:Error in /sdcard/cm-10-20121027-NIGHTLY-d2usc. 20. Is there a recovery menu on the SGIII? I have been reading in the Motorola Users Forum (Electrify) that there is a recovery menu available to clean up system cache buildup, which can be a good thing for the continued operation of the phone. This would be different than an app cache/history cleaner.
  21. So I followed the steps for the Sprint method of rooting my phone. I loaded CW from ODIN and everything came up as "Passed!" when I got to the next step of going into recovery to load the .zip I couldn't get phone into recovery mode. I did the Volume UP + Home + Power and held it for a good minute +. All I get is the Samsung logo with a tiny bit of blue text in upper left corner (like you would see if you went into recovery mode) but it is too quick to make out, then I get the the Galaxy S III logo for a second, and then it goes black until I release the buttons. It then boots normally. I'd really like to root this phone but my experience is limited to fumbling around with the Mesmerize a few times. Any help would be great!
  22. I tried to unlock the bootloader on my mesmerize and now I really messed up. I was okay, but I when I try to flash a rom, it fails. And since I tried to backup, and then restored, I'm stuck on the samsung logo. PLEASE HELP ME! I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ODIN, or whatever. I can't do anything except get into cwm and get into download mode
