  1. This guide is for those who do not want to do full odin updates, but still want the newer radios to play with without all of the worry about new software to deal with. If you have issues, please post here and I will happily help you. I am assuming you have Odin working on a PC, if you don't let me know and I'll try to help you as well. First off, you'll need the Modem.bin file. This is your radio that you will be flashing. MDL Radio: http://upload.teamuscellular.com/5HT MF5 Radio: http://upload.teamuscellular.com/5HU MJA Radio: http://upload.teamuscellular.com/36z MK2 Radio: http://upload.teamuscellular.com/5HS NAE Radio: http://upload.teamuscellular.com/5EX ND1 Radio: http://upload.teamuscellular.com/36y NF6 Radio: http://upload.teamuscellular.com/384 NK1 Radio: http://upload.teamuscellular.com/9hy Here is a link to Download Odin. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2189539 1.) Turn off your phone. It has to be powered down completely, do not boot into download mode directly from your ROM. 2.) Boot into download mode (Vol Down + Power). 3.) Plug into your phone to your PC. 4.) Load your Modem file into the PHONE slot in Odin. Not PDA. It will be named differently if you are using Odin 3.9+ I believe. 5.) Assuming Odin sees your phone, click start. It should only take a few seconds for it to run. 6.) Let it reboot. Click settings, About Phone, and your Baseband will now be whatever modem you flashed! Enjoy! Let me know if you have questions I'd be happy to help troubleshoot. Stock files can be found here: http://teamuscellular.com/Forum/topic/4447-stock-files/
  2. Just a quick question... My Android: Make: Samsung Galaxy S4 Model: R970 Service: U.S. Cellular What exactly is the real (and honest) difference between the "R970" & the "i9505"? I see the "i9505" and am not sure what the differences are. Thanks!
  3. I have a Galaxy S4 (SCH-R970) and I think I have soft bricked it. I installed a newer version of cyanogenmod, didn't like it, and I think i did something wrong when I tried to go back to the old version. All I did was hit reboot and install in the phone settings. Now, the phone will turn on into download mode, won't turn on into recovery mode, and the weirdest part is taht it will get stuck in the cyanogenmod loop, but then it will freeze, restart itself, and keep trying doing the same loop over and over. I really need help because I need my phone. I have looked up lots of stuff but I am having issues downloading this file R970TYUEMK2_R970USCEMK2_USC.zip because it is so big. So if there is a way to avoid reinstalling the firmware that would be great. I have cyanogenmod version that I like and odin. Thanks!
  4. Has this happened to anyone else? I was backing up my photo's before I flashed a new rom (Octo!) by using the simple drag-n-drop method. Done it many, many times without issue. However today, while copying my DCIM folder, my computer froze, but only for a few seconds. After the freeze it said copying had completed but I knew that couldn't be right; there were too many files for it to be done so quickly. I checked to see if everything was properly copied before I deleted the folder from internal. Only when I go there I notice not only is my folder missing, EVERYTHING else is missing. My internal and SD card have been wiped clean. I rebooted my device to see if my device was maybe just sleepy and forgot what the heck it was doin. No good. I even get a pop up message from evernote after rebooting telling me a different memory card is inserted and wanted to know what I wanted to do about it. What the heck happened? Was this my pc's fault? My gs4 faulty? Does my phone have amnesia? I'm trying to stay upbeat about this but the fact of the matter is I lost a lot of Christmas pictures that were very valuable to me. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced a similar issue, if there's anything I might try to cure amnesia and maybe more importantly, is my phone unreliable now? Thanks for taking the time to read this wall of text and also for any thoughts or comments.

  8. Preorders for the Galaxy S IV start April 16th! The best part of this whole thing is that our version of the S4 passed the FCC before ANY other carrier. Take that VZW - ATT - Tmobile! We may not launch it first, but who knows? Still exciting! --Check it out-- Recent FCC approvals: http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/new.php?m=f USC's SIV page: http://www.uscellular.com/campaigns/index.html?id=m&page=coming-soon.html Funny comments on how VZW sucks - because they didn't announce it first. - LOL: http://www.androidcentral.com/galaxy-s4-preorders-start-us-cellular-april-16
