  1. cm installer

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with the CM installer for the gs3 running 4.4.2. My phone is stock and has not been rooted. Just wondering if the Cm installer would work. Thanks
  2. It seems its a lot harder to unlock the Us Cellular version. Can someone point me in the right direction? Whether i have to be rooted or not, i dont care. Im just trying to help a couple people unlock it for another cdma carrier. I know you cant use it on GSM, thats not what im looking for. I know thats not possible
  3. After the newest snapchat update ver. 3.0.4 my friends and I, all having the gs3, experienced our phones randomly rebooting itself. The solution to this problem is to uninstall snapchat, and install the previous version, ver. 3.0.1. You must also turn off auto-update in the google play store for snapchat, otherwise it will just update to 3.0.4 again. I will attach the .apk file with snapchat 3.0.1 To be able to install you must go to settings, security, and check "Unknown Sources" com.snapchat.android-29-v3.0.1.apk
  4. Could someone port this ROM for d2usc? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2325110 Or teach me/us how?
  5. Update bootloader?

Here's the deal: apparently my bootloader is out of date and will not allow me to flash the newest 4.2 roms. I tried flashing the MD4 modem from this site and it was a success. My phone reports MD4 as the baseband, but when I check via terminal (by typing "su" then "getprop ro.bootloader") it reports the bootloader as LK5. Anyone have any idea how to update this to MD4? Thanks! p.s. I tried searching and couldn't find any topics like this, so I apologize if it's already been answered somewhere!
  6. DISCLAIMER: I am new. Despite reading for weeks, I do not know what I am doing, I have searched the forums to the best of my ability prior to posting, if I am posting in the wrong section or whatnot please be gentle. I still do not know what I am doing. Original Phone: GS3-SCH-R530U / JB 4.1.1 ROM: CM10 stable Backup: CMR / titanium backup Recently flashed CM10 stable: 1. download file 2. clear data/cache 3.flash file 4. backup and restored "apps and data" GPS will not work now, I cant get a lock. I did get a lock once, took about 3 minutes and lasted about 3 minutes. * I have wiped AGPS several times and tried some of those GPS apps to no avail. * Stock navigation shuts down about 30 seconds after start. * Google maps doesnt work Addicted to Rail Rush..... go to play and it works for a minute, then the whole phone re-boots. * I havent done anything with this because, as silly as it sounds, I have to many coins to uninstall/reinstall * is it possible that TiBackup has created this issue? or could I use TiBackup to back it up then uninstall/reinstall. Couple other funny things happening that are escaping me at the moment and I dont know where to start. Would love opinions on TiBackup issues?? or ideas on above issues. I love CM10 but really would like my GPS back and things working properly...... THANK YOU for supporting those of us who have started the inner phone journey!
  7. And here we go again... Welcome to AICS, a heavily modified stock build for the d2usc. There are many tweaks and features that you'll find in this ROM, and hopefully you'll experience increased battery life, speedy segues, and a more appealing graphical presentation. I hope you find as much pleasure in using this modification as I did in building it. I take no responsibility for anything that happens to you or your phone. STOCK or SAUCE V5.1? The choice is yours, but it's pretty @#$% obvious. INSTRUCTIONS: (ROM) Wipe Data/Dalvik from recovery Flash BASE ROM FIRST - it'll reboot on it's own Enjoy! (APPS) (This is where all the removed apps from the system folder live.) Open zip and remove any unwanted apps. Add to sdcard, then flash as normal. FILES: Download here PNP App Package MORE SCREENS: Kernel Features: here Credits (in the order they hit my brain): Tator, Imoseyon, Rmarkwald, Bobby, Jae Kaer (sp?) joshbeach, David, Adam, Duane and everyone else (and anyone I missed) :-) Love you guys.
  8. About one week ago, I began receiving a "software update" prompt on my rooted U.S. Cellular GS3. Apparently there is an OTA kernel update that is trying to push to my phone. When I rooted my phone, I disabled the auto-OTA-updates because I was not certain what the effect would be if I allowed this type of update while the phone is rooted. Can anyone tell me what will happen if I apply this OTA kernel update to my rooted GS3? Is there anything I will need to do before or after the update to ensure that my phone stays rooted, not bricked, etc.? I am largely n00bish when it comes to rooting. I just followed a forum post and a YouTube video to do it originally.
  9. About three days ago I discovered an over the air software update for my Samsung Galaxy S3, and installed it. Since then, I have noticed a new icon in my notification bar - an eye. The assumption is that it has something to do with the "Smart Stay" feature of the GS3 - a feature that I have not yet been able to determine if it works or not. However, I turned off the Smart Stay feature, and the "eyecon" remains on my screen. What's up with this? Can someone provide a definitive answer, because I'm not at all convinced of any of this. Thank you, Ed Payne
  10. Why Cant I have my Phone

I cant believe that uscc can't give us a shipping date estimate. I called and they said that bigger companies get them faster because they have more money. I am giving them 300 dollars for something I have no idea when I will get. Doesn't that seem a little odd. I am paying them money right away cant they use the money I payed them and everyone else paid them for the preorder and just start getting these phone so we can get them in our hands. I want to see uscc do some good for once because every other carrier has shipped out all there preorders and starting to sell the phone in stores. Come on us cellular get on the ball.
