  1. CurbThePain's Stock Deodexed Lollipop Rom for the US Cellular Galaxy S5 (klteusc) READ THE WHOLE OP! Disclaimer: I am NOT responsible for anything that happens to you, your phone, or anything as a result of flashing this rom. It is of your choice to flash said rom and or proceed to root your phone. So don't blame me if your phone is dead, it is YOUR fault. Other Info: This rom doesnt come with a kernel, it is just the system partition on its own. It has not been debloated and has not been modified in any way other than being deodexed. Use/Download any G900F touchwiz kernel that supports 5.0 lollipop. You can find the kernels over on xda developers forums. Thanks Downloads: v1 - OF3 - Changelog: Changelog: 10-23-2015- -Initial Release
  2. I got a little crazy and rooted prior to thinking too carefully about it. Eventually I'll be going with a ROM once they're working a little better. I'd like to get the USC updates but I cannot do that directly on the s5 with my device rooted. Knox is the problem I believe - I am getting the modified error when going to "Software Update" in menu. Is Knox cracked at this point? Can we just download the updates from the USC website and install that way? Any help?
  3. You'll need a root file browser for this mod. Root Explorer, Root Browser and others will work fine. Navigate to /system using the root file browser of your choice. Mount the system in R/W mode. Open the build.prop file in a text editor and add the following line at the end of the it. Reboot and enjoy! qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
  4. I know i know. Shame on me. Im ready for the hate lol. But i just recently saw a screenshot of ios 7 and i like the looks of it. I think the dots for the signal is really cool. I was wondering if anyone could help put together a flashable, or just a tutorial on how to go about doing this? I would gladly appreciate it (after all the hate comments of course, ) What i have found whole i did a google search was these: This one here is for the Galaxy S4. I figure, if anything, this would be the easiest one to do since its another Galaxy phone, but what the hell do i know? Another thread i found: He has a great way of doing it but it still fails to flash in recovery. Anyone who knows a bit more than me and actually cares enough to try it, i would greatly appreciate it. It would also be great if i could figure out how to get Helvetica Neue & Neue Ultra Light flashed onto my phone. Im encountering boot loops on everything i try. Even ifont which is what a lot of people are recommending these days. EDIT: And since its not technically a mod but a request, i put it here, because i see others get scorned for doing the same thing, but if thats where you want it, well then go ahead and move it
  5. Comes in one flavor. A flashable zip! For your deodexed ROM. LK8: ALJC: ALJ1: ALL1: This gets rid of the increasing ring when someone calls you. Most samsung phones do this when you receive a call, the ringtone will gradually fade in to the volume that you have set. This mod will get rid of that annoying fade in and allow your ringtone to play at the volume you set it to. If your ROM is odexed please remove the SecPhone.odex before flashing. /system/app Remember to backup your system or SecPhone.apk and SecPhone.odex in case something goes wrong. This mod needs your testing. If you tried it and it works. Please report back! Thanks
  6. Wish your phone would STOP sliding all over/slipping out of your pocket? - BUT - don't like the bulky cases? I find myself in this boat very often. Whether I'm driving, at a theme park, out and about... You get the idea! Whatever the case may be I always worry that my phone would fall out of my pocket without me noticing it. Given that the S3 is so smooth, it would be easy for it to go unnoticed, and I really dislike the rubber cases that triple the thickness... So this is my solution: Spray Plasti Dip on the back cover! I decided to do a couple different colors - and I will try a few custom designs - THEN, not only will it have a sticky, durable back, it won't glide around so easily anymore. It stays where I set it down, the charging cable doesn't pull it off the night stand anymore, looks cool. The process is simple. 1. Just clean the back of the phone with any ammonia free cleaner - Invisible glass in my case. 2. Buff it dry with any lint free towel (dont want threads in the final product) 3. Find a suitable spot to spray - a cardboard box should do the trick 4. Do 2-3 thick coats - and if you want the lettering to show allow the plastidip to dry between coats (10-15 min) Process pictures: Here is my first attempt: - In the RED flavor (click the "Show" button to see pics) Another perk is that, if you decide you want to change the color, don't want it anymore, or just want to try peels RIGHT back off without damaging the cover in any way! Here are some pictures showing the removal: (Hit the "Show" button) I also did a cover in CLEAR just to see how it would work - Looks the same, with a little "matte" finish - but you get the stock look with the added grip! (click "Show" to see the pics!) So there ya have it folks! A very simple, fool proof, CHEAP way to add a personal touch to your device - as well as keeping it where you put it. If you have any ideas, or suggestions for me - feel free to comment below! Thanks for reading!

  9. Flash Player on Dolphin Browser HD Install Adobe Flash Player from here using your phone. Then, using either ESFile or Root Explorer...go into the root of your phones file system and find the "/data/data/mobi.geek.TunnyBrowser/shared_prefs" folder. Delete "installed_plug_pref.xml" and "mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser_preferences.xml". Now, when you go into Dolphin, it will be Flash enabled (always on). You can additionally (once you have configured your browser preferences) go into the properties of the "shared_prefs" folder and uncheck the write option, so that the settings can no be reverted.
  10. Instructions: Backup and remove SamsungCamera.apk and .odex if your rom is not deodexed. Push the new camera to /system/app, then change permissions to 644 and reboot. 11. Which way to ROM?

We've got two replacement Desires and I need to do something with them because of memory probs, but haven't the foggiest idea which ROM to use. I performed the latest from Revolutionary and did allow it to install CWM and that went very smoothly and that where they're sitting now. Now I'm wondering which ROM to put onto them - suggestions please. I haven't messed with any mod installations for over a year and a half, about the time JB was doing up TS. TIA, _sr
