  1. SIM Card corrupted!

Is there any way to edit the parameters on a SIM card? Mine got corrupted and is missing the following info; Phone number, Subscriber ID, Sm country ISO, SIM Operator, Network Country ISO, Network Operator, Network Operator Name, Network Type. I have all this information saved elseware so is it possible to just program it back in? The wierd thing is that I still get 3G, not sure about 4G (not in my area). In anything but the stock ROM the connection square in the quick settings menu just has 3G with 3 bars, I get data but no phone or MMS, and the Carrier spot says empty. I flashed my phone's modem to the one for 4.3+ to get the new networking stuff but this didn't solve the problem, I tried the card in another phone and it told me the same thing. SIM card doesn't connect regardless of kernel or ROM. I'm currently using the SCH-R970.
  2. I've been testing out a lot of roms lately, trying to see any rom released recently could pry me off of 4.2.2 liquidsmooth. However, after I flashed from 4.2.2 liquid to 4.4.2 slimkat, I NOTICED (I had flashed some other roms prior to slimkat) that I could only access US Cellular's network while connected to wifi. I can make calls and send texts with wifi on, but as soon as I turn it off, my network disappears and I am left with only grey bars, no blue ones (I am in 4.2.2). No texts, no calls, and no LTE, even though a useless grey "4g" symbol does pop up on top of my grey network bars for a slit-second a couple times a minute when I'm off wifi. (See pics) I have tried numerous different methods of fixing this issue, from flashing 4.3 TW stock, to 4.4.2 and 4.2.2 factory resets in TWRP, to 4.4.2 and 4.2.2 factory resets from the Backup/Restore option in settings, to calling *228, to following this guy's directions all to no avail. I am going to leave my battery and my sim card out of my phone while I sleep. If my network doesn't work when I wake up, I really don't know what else to do guys.
  3. I have a 4th Gen Verizon LTE iPad. Would a US Cellular Micro SIM Card (Just like the one in the iPhone 5S) work in the 4th Gen Verizon iPad? If so, where could I get one? I don't to use a Verizon one because signal is terrible here.
  4. I've been researching this for quite some time now and have read quite a few ....stories. I've got an active boost mobile acct. With unlimited everything.I called them to check on swaping out handsets and he said it would not be a problem so long as i got the carrier to unlock the phone. USC won't give it up. I've gotten as far as the network lock part of the "hidden menu" & dont know what to do now. Help please!
  5. Posting here for fastest response

I know this is probably the wrong area but I'm looking for some help asap from someone in the know. I have a customer who has gone through two Galaxy S4's 3 Sim Cards & a loaner phone all with the same problem. The problem being every time the customer goes to make a call the phone will begin to ring but if someone does not answer the call almost immediately anyone of the afformentioned devices will simply end the call. It's not appearing as if it's a dropped call as this occurs in an area with a 77 dbm and across the state. Tech is stumped everyone is stumped multiple tickets have been submitted. Has anyone ever encountered something like this before ? Also as a side note the phone has been removed from the switch, all back end data refreshed, reprogrammed, etc. Also one other point worth noting is the customer ported in from Verizon in the midst (? has it really ended) of the TOPS fiasco. Any help or insight would be AWESOME. Thanks guys and gals.
  6. SIM Cards

I feel like an idiot. Trying to save a little bit of money I bought an S3 off ebay which is supposedly brand new (no signs of usage) I received it yesterday in the snowstorm only to find out that it does not have a SIM card. I contacted the 'store' I bought the S3 from and they offered to refund my money but told me that I can go into any US Cellular store and they can give me one, . I went into my local store and told me a different story, one which is similar to what I have thought for the longest time which is that SIM cards are device specific and you can't just put one SIM card from a US Cellular phone into another or I could contact Samsung and I could purchase one but they are really expensive. So can anyone help shed some light on the issue? Can I get a SIM card from USC, or do I need to contact Samsung, or should I just get my money back?
  7. T-Mobile SIM Swap

First, my apologies if this isn't the correct forum to post it in, but I couldn't seem to figure out where I should be posting it, so here goes... (please move this post to the correct sub-forum if necessary!) With the impending sale (DOJ/FCC approval and all), I've been looking around at other carriers to see if my SGS3/32 will work with another carrier's network without having to buy a new phone (I purchased this back in early December 2012, so yeah, it's REAL new). Upon checking around, T-Mobile seems to be offering an unlimited talk/text/pic plus 4G LTE plan for $69.99 a month (plus $9.95 for insurance) (plus I'm sure there's applicable fees and taxes added to that for the monthly bill) with a "Bring your own phone" option that has a SIM swap. I checked their website and put in my IMEI number and their website said it's good to go. Has anyone done this yet or at all and have had luck? I got the $179.99 web-price deal on my phone, so I had good timing in getting my SGS3/32 for a great price and would not want to spend more money if the sale goes through. Any advice, experiences, whatever? Thanks for your input in advance!
