I do not have a great deal of experience but I do have some experience with java, and building from source and I am fairly versed in researching. If any of this will help you I am here.:D Sent from my SCH-R930 using Tapatalk 2

My primary focus is making cwm work. and increasing ram via swam files. Can you think of anything else you think should be focused on?

I emailed the CWM team a couple days ago, and never got a email back. I don't know why they aren't responding. EDIT: I just found out recovery mode. Its just like the S3, Volume up + Home + Power. So If I can get an email back, we should be able to get the ball rolling.

Also, I emailed about a NANDroid back up, he said he would make us one if we could supply him with a partition layout. Can anyone get that for me? I wouldn't know how.

From what IM understanding the stock Rom doesn't support partitioning or swap either

Well i guess that calls for a new rom, maybe a port from the charge. Or try to get a cyanogen mod for our phones. We need to first get a cwm. Sent from my SCH-R930 using Tapatalk 2

Thanks! If we can get CWM and Nandroid, it should open up the gates for some more ROM's. Let me know if you need anything from my phone specifically, I'm more than willing to help.

Does this phone even have partitions? I have learned that 'most' android devices do not have partitions but also with Samsung using initramfs I think the partition is actually a ramdisk is that correct? Sent from my SCH-R930 using Tapatalk 2

Unless IM mistaken, a new Rom should be able to support partitioning if done right

I am in the process of researching this but if I'm not mistaken I believe we will have to use the sdcard as our partitioning device since this phone only has memory locations for boot and no actual disk. We would need to boot from the sdcard? Sent from my SCH-R930 using Tapatalk 2

Yup, I'll just go ahead and post them here, just in case anyone else needs them for whatever shenanigans they need for this phone.

Ran into a problem, i need the partiton layouts for recovery and boot. But they aren't in the partition table because they aren't in that folder. Any advice? Sent from my SCH-R930 using Tapatalk 2
