Any us cellular mb1 based custom rom

17 posts in this topic

I know wizwnheimer lite may be just the one ( I hope I am correct)

Are there any other custom roms based on our own official updates like mb1,

I tried a couple of custom roms and was left wanting.

Would appreciate the help.

Regards

Morph v1 is TW. So is Eclipse. I think Morph is GREAT! Both are by WoundTight

EDIT: So is AS-TW 1.0 by JPaulWaite

Are they based on us cellular mb1?

I doubt that.

Have you checked out the threads?

I doubt that.

First two definitely are.  Not at all sure on the AS-TW one.  Never tried it.

Wizwnheimer is based on mb1

And the other one that you mentioned at the bottom by jpaul is also on us cellular lj1

All the rest are either verizon or sprint based.

Or based on open source roms like cynogen etc.

I would hereby like to request WoundTight to please have a see and if he has some spare time then my be he should develop us another rom asked on our own updates.

Those other roms from other carriers keep doing this or that every now and then

Personally I would like a completely stripped down version of stock rom (with and without touchwiz) which has battery saver and performance tweaks.

I am even happy with a bareback version too.

A great boot animation, ability to overclock and undervolt.

Extra smooth interface

Data tweaks and many other in things

Some compatible themes if available.

I know its too much, I hope some one tries something

Why does it matter to you which update the company it came was based on?

Is there something in MB1 that isn't in the Verizon update or Sprint update?

I suppose I could fire up my old ROM cooking kitchen if there was something truly worthwhile.

I don't think it was meant to be. Mostly just trying to figure out specifically would make it worth building

I could do more with Wizenhiemer but it already has what I think you're wanting.

I did MoRph because it is MC3, unfortunately MB1 is the most current USCC build.

I have been waiting for an update because I'd say MB1 is nearing the end of it's life cycle.

At this point it makes no sense for me to spend hours spiffing up something that is soon to be yesterday's news.

As far as MoRph goes it has been my daily drive for several weeks. It is built using Verizon's MC3 the only issue I am aware of is sms 160 split isn't working. I do plan to fix it just haven't had the time yet.

I've been running the Morph rom for a week now and loving it. I feel it is better than the MB1 rom, has everything that I wanted. It would be nice to have a few more xposed modules to choose from but im very satisfied with it. The only issue that I came across so far is the sms 160 split like woundtight has mentioned.

I can't find anything that Morph v1 doesn't do, or do right.  I use Handcent so no split sms problem for me.  I guess I didn't understand what exactly you were looking for when you said US Cellular TW.  Anyway, I've had super results with both Wizenheimer and more recently Morph.  Great work WT!

I sometime wish I had the time/drive to start working on my own ROMs.  I was just telling my son-in-law how far PDAs have come since I got my HP Jornada 680 in 1998 and yet much they have yet to go.  Would like to dig in and address some of my personal list of shortcomings.

Thanks WT

And yes I also believe a new rom based on our own updates should not be based on mb1, rather something that comes out next.

And I dunno, I have this thing to use roms based on official updates, no offence to no one and certainly not to WT and N7.

I had bad experiences with data and loss of signals with my last two flashes, so I have again decided to remain on either deodexed mb1 or Wizwnheimer until something comes out from WT'S AWESOME KITCHEN.

THANKS
