Battery Life and Charging

Recommended Posts

So I don't plan to use the turbo charger very much (to reduce battery wear and tear), but I wanted to try it out to see just how fast it would charge the thing.

Started at 17% and after 1 hour and 20 minutes on the turbo charger it was up to 93%. Impressive to say the least.

Will definitely come in handy when I'm travelling and at the airport and need a quick boost.

I tried the turbo charged the day I got the phone for about 15%and couldn't believe how hot the device got. I won't be using mine unless it's a desperate charge. Did you notice this?
Mine never got that hot surprisingly, I expected it to be.

I like this one: Awake only when screen on; no wake lock!

Off the charger at a little before 7 am and down to 30% by the end of the day

4 hours of SOT puts me, in theory, at around 5.75 hours by the time I hit 0% which isn't bad at all to be on the stock kernel and be on 3g for well over half of the day! Overall I'm very pleased with this phone so far

forgot to post this the other day but 45% battery left with 4.5 hrs screen on time. Most of that was streaming video over LTE, and by most i mean at least 3hrs. I did have it plugged into the computer for a bit because i was tranferring files, but still, that's awesome

I took my phone off the charger morning of the 12th and haven't put it back on yet. Granted, I don't have nearly as much stuff installed as my Note 2 had, including Facebook and the Amazon apps, but wow, 3 days light use is crazy!

I'm not sure what I did yesterday, where the stat drops off, maybe turned off the phone and turned it back on. I'm sure things will be closer to "normal" once I install Facebook and another email app (for work mail). Also, on my Note 2, battery usage was great until I traveled, roaming or not, then it tanked.

here's mine today with signal strength. Lots of orange most of the day... and still tons of battery left. very light usage day. so all of that was due to signal strength

Ah yeah my signal is usually in red or yellow practically never green. And usually I end up with a lot more sot/awake. Emails throughout the day and what not. Also WiFi... I'll take a screenshot tonight/tomorrow.

38 hours and I definitely can beat this

Unrooted stock, disabled background data in settings on certain apps like FB and such, Greenify on most of the same apps set to hibernate all at a press. It's not automatic unless rooted. And I'm not in the habit of switching it off myself yet, I may add tasker to that if I can figure it out anyway. LTE only for the screens
