Simultaneous voice and data

Recommended Posts

I just discovered something that seems weird. On my first generation Moto X, I can't do simultaneous voice and data. I tried looking something up while in a call, and couldn't do it. With wifi, no problem, but not on mobile data. U.S. cellular says it's a limitation of the phone, but evidence online says it isn't. Who's right?

Thanks. :)

You can't do it with mobile data but I thought if connected to WiFi and on a call you could do data and voice....

Not just Moto, it's all phone makers. Preparing for VoLTE.

See that's what I thought, but didn't want to say that since its been "coming soon" all year.

Even when we get VoLTE the data will be 3G (totally usable) while on a call.

*fingers crossed*

I read somewhere that newer phones use the same antenna for 4g and voice, where 1st Gen phones had separate ones that let you use simultaneously
